Impala. Hence the wrapping for some dro's
-
Thanks have thrown up in the thread,
Car hasnt been on dros but has a chassis been put on that has been hacked up/wrapped for them.....Panelbeater seems to think its going to be more of a hassle than anything and recommending getting another chassis but will await a definitive answer before I charge ahead.

Is chassis wrapping certifiable/able to pass a vin? What are the criteria it must fit within to pass?
Does it need a repair/ticketed welder to have done it,.

Is Chassis wrapping a certifiable/vinnable mod?
For those that dont know its basically welding additional plating onto your chassis on cars that have hydros etc.

Just working out all this, what you need to do/who you need to talk to for the impala....sounds painful haha

Crashed 3 in total lol.
First one like 15 years old in 85 laser paddock car. Reversing between the old mans workshop and cowshed at speed, lost control and smack bang into the chiller unit for the milk vat....On a Friday night, busted the chiller unit and had to get a technician out at out of hours rates....6k of repairs....ouch.
2nd one in 96 impreza wagon, had a horse on the road in the dark. (Some dickhead unloading his horse by the roadside and got spooked by a car. Clown decided to park his ute at the top of a crest with lights on high beam to "warn people" of horse...Got blinded and couldnt see horse, ending up running up its arse and writing car off........Somehow police claimed nobody was at fault??
3rd one, again a laser, following someone who turned left into a side road, lady pulling out of side road didnt see me. Pulled out in front of me doing 100kmh. I swerved across other lane and we hit my front left to her front right. Lucky i didnt tbone her or she would be dead!. Had a powerbuilt tool box on the back seat behind passengers seat, flew forward and snapped passengers seat in half! would of broken my back or killed me if it had been behind me!! Make sure you put shit in the boot! lol.
