  1. I believe it's pronounced "VEEEEEEEP!" Correct me if I'm wrong here
  2. Hey, seeing as I'm not putting a 20valve in my car anymore, would anyone be interested in purchasing any of this gear: in there is a RS Chita waterkit for 20v conversion into AE86, cost me $720. and SQ engineering parts (coils, distributor blanking plate, hold down cover for coils hardware, coil plugs etc) for coil on plug conversion of silvertop 4age, bits were $900 (note, velocity stacks are for silvertop only) Any offers please bear this in mind. Also, I'm considering selling a brand new pair of toda adjustable cam gears for 16v 4age, make an offer. And a pair of good condition AE86 side skirts. Make me an offer. Havnt put into for sale section, cause i just want to gauge if theres any interest at this stage. . .
  3. But the bogging down and spitting back brings a frown to mine, lol.
  4. Good to see its getting worked on now, kinda regret selling it haha
  5. First and second are straight cut, pretty sure the diff is closer ratio, eh. The passenger seat is mint but the drivers one has some rips as you see in the photos. Just want to get my carburetion sorted haha
  6. Yeah thats highfield rd alright, haha. Looking forward to N's and D's
  7. Little in car action after i fucked around with the idle screws again, might buy some more jets for it just wing it untill it runs sweet. . .
  8. I should rephrase that, the extractors have a part to play in making it not run better, derp.
  9. Here's a video of the car running again, despite what i said, i reckon it runs a bit better, think the oversized extractors may have some part to play in that, new K&Ns will go on when they show up
  10. http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/ae86/p/111766 haha, check out what i found
  11. Bought some Buddy club rails. Just waiting for 'em to get here. . .
  12. I payed enough for it, haha. Wheels aren't on the car yet, and it will be getting a P&P later on (if that's what you meant)
  13. Got my 40 accelerator jets, so i fanged the carbs back together. Reset the float heights, put in the new float jets, and gave it the big reseal.
  14. Testing wheel fitment at SEEN88's old man's place a while back, Back when his Bluebird wasn't backed into, lol.
  15. Better bang up some pictures of my new wheels, Rota RKR 15s Sorry about mediocre quality camera cant handle low light situations.
  16. Bit the bullet, standard linkage is way too mongrel for me to stand, dodgy welded etc, (as shown in first carb picture). Bought these:
  17. Car has always had massive hesitation when applying the throttle before getting to about 2/3rds throttle. Thinking about buying some bigger accelerator jets, it's got 33's in it, and they're the smallest you can get apparently. Might get some 40's, see if that livens her up a bit.
  18. Couldn't resist snapping a pic of my girls while I was in the shed. They're looking so pretty
  19. They came up looking pretty grouse, by all accounts Found out my throttle linkage is cracked, wonder if i can skillfully weld or braze it up?
  20. Lemon broth seems to be working, haha. Smells like arse in here now though.
  21. Place smells terrible, but starting to look promising, pulled the accelerator pump diaphragm cover out and gave it a quick scrub, looked good, Fuck it, back in the broth. . . Feel like a mad scientist.
  22. Been reading up about float heights, Des (How to build and tune Weber and Dellorto carbs) Hammill, reckons 15mm, and 25mm at full droop, mine are at about 45mm at full droop. going to reset them. My rebuild kit for the carbs came with a new float needle jet and holder too, carbs currently have 150 jets installed, kit has 175s. This guy: http://www.club4ag.com/faq_and_tech_pag ... _4A-GE.htm reckons 175s are the go for the 4age so I'll stick em in.
  23. Bringing carb #1 up to a simmer on the stove. . . I'm going to feel like a right bellend if this doesn't work.
  24. So, I've decided to give the Dellortos an overhaul. Mint day to take them off, outside. . . Anyway got them off, random different sized bolts and stuff, this poor old girl is begging to have everything done properly. Filthy little buggers aint they? Now what do? lol. Going to try the boil them in lemon juice trick to clean em up.
