It wasn't purchased on an auction.it was listed on trademe as a classified then he went and bought it. He paid 2700 for it. Which to my understanding is covered by the consumer guaruntees act?being a purchase of over 2000. He did not get a receipt

From what my mate told me it sounds as though its a registered dealer. Were going to take it back tomorrow but just thought id learn about all the legal details before getting into an arguement with them

Hey guys, my mate just came around to my house to show me his new car that he just bought from a car dealer this afternoon (1997 Toyota levin) he doesn't know too much about cars so just went and bought it. After looking over it I have noticed the clutch is badly slipping,alternators fucked and has a suspected blown headgasket.

none of these problems were mentioned to him when he bought the car, and he has asked me to see what the deal is with taking it back etc. Of course they are going to try say that is was mint when it was sold.

I just thought id come on here and see if any one knew what sort of chances he'd have with taking it back etc. It was from a small car dealer. If they refuse to be of any help is there anything else that can be done? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

Was just wondering what you guys think about the l20et engines? have recently bought an r30 skyline that has an l20 engine in it. details of it are in link here

Just wanting to know if you guys think it would be worth finishing or just ripping out the l20 and putting and sr20det in instead? I dont really know to much about the l20 engines and dont want to spend heaps of money on it to find there unreliable, underpowered etc.

if a set of rims has an offset of say +15 and i flip the centres (2 piece rims) would that make the offset -15?or around about that?

This may be a stuupid question but just wanting to confirm. If i measure a wheel from lip width and it come up 8 inches, does it mean they are 7 inches wide, because of the lips?

i have got a set of 15x6.5 ssr reverse mesh rims. Just had centres powder coated and dishes polished. 4x114.3 stud pattern and +25 offset. come with tires 185 60 r15. Was just curious as to what they are worth as im not to sure. Have got a link of them below. Cheers

lol yea i wasnt going to flip them but iv changed my mind now. might have been a bit of a mistake. and also with the centres behind the lip still hold the centre in well? just wondering because the little locator bit behind the centre wont be doing anything? havnt flipped any before and dont want them falling apart on me haha

yea im trying to do it like xsspeed explained. cenres are at powdercoaters atm so wiil upload a pic of how its not working when i get them back
