So I told myself I was going to stop spending until after new years. But the other night I decided to bid on these at last minute..
They are 14x6.5s, may look at getting wider lips in the future but im just going to use them as they are for now.
Id quite like to polish the centres and lips. I have never done this before so was just wondering what the best way to go about would be? what to use etc. Also they only have 2 centre caps so if anyone has any id be keen to buy some http://oldschool.co....85-sigma-wagon/

Ok sweet cheers mate

Cut the sigma front springs you mean? And will I need to get the rear struts shortened aswell?
-
Small update
haven't done too much to it yet, so far I have put on some roof racks and fender mirrors. Havent taken it for a warrant yet. Will be happening in the next couple of weeks, then time for low!
So far I have only really considered compressed springs and shortened shocks to lower it. If you have any other ideas (suspension out of other cars etc) feel free to let me know

Alright sweet will let you know when ive got the 15s on J-W-G
And your right fuel, it is an express. Its also registered as a light van. Its got rear seats and belts, although I suppose they could have been put in at some point during its life

Discuss here ://oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/40931-michaels-1985-sigma-wagon/
So I have been on here for a while now, reading through all your guys build threads etc and I figured its about time I started my own.
So here I have a 1985 Mitsubishi sigma
I got it about 2 months ago, and it was running like a sick dog when I got it. But have since replaced the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, new air filter (didn't have one to begin with), and pulled the carburetor apart and cleaned it as one of the jets was blocked. While doing that I found that the automatic choke is rooted so have just tied it open until I can find another carb. Also gave the engine bay a bit of a tidy up. Now shes running like a dream, just needs to be warmed up for a couple minutes in the morning due to choke being held open
Only other thing I need to replace in the engine is this heater hose that goes to the waterpump (in pic below) as current one is rusted and leaks a bit of coolant. The hose comes around from the back of the engine. Let me know if any of you have a spare one yo
Only other things I have really done to it so far is install a dash cluster with a rev gauge and a digital clock which 'Damien!' off here picked up for me whileago when he was getting some parts
Old one..
New one and clock..
So the plans are to slam it on white 15 inch steelies (already have) with low profile tires, run some hub adaptors to pump them out to the guards abit. Fender mirrors (already have), roof racks and a woodgrain nardi. Wof expires soon so will get a new wof sometime next month before I start doing anything, just to make life easier. Then get her already for summer cruising!

Let me know what you think/ ideas etc

Alright cheers that's good to know!

Alright, so about a month ago I was driving my skyline and the windscreen started fogging up. I wasn't far from home so I drove straight home parked my car up. Let it cool down then checked the water and it was low. So I started topping it up and found that it leaks out of the frost plug (onto the gearbox, which caused steam fogging up the windscreen)
So I know that the frost plug needs replacing, as it has come out a bit. But im just wondering what would have caused that to happen? and if it would have caused any other damage to the engine?
-
righto, so I have a 88 skyline which has an rb30det in it. The frost plug has cracked on the head so it needs to be replaced. the gap between the head and the firewall is not very big, so looks like the engine will need to come out, or pulled forward to replace it. I don't have the knowledge or tools to do this myself so was wondering if theres anyone out there in the south Auckland area that could do it? will pay you of course lol
cheers

Hey there
Im am looking at buying this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=631375031
In the auction he states 'Runs ok, has a miss on idle which disappears when driving so i think the plugs are probably tired.'
How likely is it to just be the plugs? I would have thought if it was just the plugs, then he would have replaced them. If not whats it most likely to be? Cheers

Cool cheers

Hey. Am looking into getting some steelies widened, but my car still needs to got for a cert.i heard something about widened steelies not being able to be certified?just wanted to confirm if this was true or not,or if there's a special requirements when getting them done. Cheers
-
Yeah true, well he was driving around with the non turbo engine before he started to turbo it.so I guess that engine is fine.
Alright cheers, going to start getting it all together soon so will see how it goes!
-
Ok,so I have a Nissan skyline with an l20e+t in it.scince I have had the car it has never been running.i still need to fit injectors, dizzy, fan etc etc.
The car still has the non turbo nlock on it.when I bought the car it also came with the turbo block,as the the old owner had stripped the turbo engine out of a dereged standard turbo skyline.
So my question is, why would he have built the engine up on the non turbo block?are they strong enough to handle a turbo? The old owner reckoned he had spoken to Steve murch, and he had told him the non turbo block was able to handle 15 psi easy.if so how long for?just trying to decide weather to fit the turbo block or just keep the non turbo one on it.
Cheers
