May have convinced the gf to come along after telling her all about nats. Don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Either way I'll still be drunk!

happy to lift you back those ways too, we're just up the hill from aro.
Cheers bro, will let you know if I require a ride.

Hahahahaha I'm pretty sure my mate I'm staying with is In Aro Valley, but I'll double check.

Sweet!
You have no idea how upset I was when Bart told me you weren't coming to nats, but big man hugs for sure when I'm up!

Yo yo northerners, I'll be gracing your shores on thursday the 20th and I'm keen to catch up with all you lovely people. I was telling a few of the guys at nats and have noticed your monthly meet is on this date so lets hang!

I have little to no experience with Z series engines, but the only turbo motors were the Z18ET's I'm pretty sure?? So you'd need turbo manifold from that and efi gear but I doubt the Z22 block would very strong for boosting?

Down for friday morn departure/whenever Bart goes as I'll rolling with him.

Power feed. Motor is a CA18DET. All wiring is done just needed a more permanent solution to the fusable link to the battery no longer being where it originally was.

I'm not sure what draw you'll get. But I personally wouldn't want an automatically resetting unit. If it trips, i'd be wanting to check what's wrong before it resets and powers it again.
Yeah there was also a manual reset one like the one jakesae101 posted. Thanks do you think 100A would be the go?

I've relocated my battery to the boot and I'm wondering what to replace the fusable link with. At the moment for my car to actually run I have the two wires twisted together and taped up(not ideal) so was looking at the Narva website and came across something like this.
http://www.narva.com.au/products/browse/high-amp-automatic
Would that suffice also what sort of amperage would I be needing?
Apologise if my question doesn't have enough info.

Got my new phone so can take photos again yay! Here's a pic of the drivers door with the central locking motor installed. For the rear doors I'm going to need a much longer arm to mount to that short locking arm on the door will most likely end up mounting the motors vertically and attach to the locking arm. Will hunt around work for some quite small o.d rod.
Also spent many hours trying to track down the leak in the heater system. First I attempted to try and remove the whole heater assembly which was proving difficult, I suspected it was the heater tap right at the back but after putting my hand in behind it was bone dry, so after much confusion as to where this leak was coming from I manage to figure out that the core itself was leaking Whipped that out and yup pretty nasty leak on the side, which is weird must've been on it's way out as it never leaked since I first topped the cooling system up... Because I'm a hoarder and don't throw things out I had a spare! Filled that up with water to see if this one was any good seemed legit so chucked in it hooked the heater back up voilà no more leaks!
Still need to bleed the cooling system some more temp gets rather high, also my thermo switch for the fan doesn't seem to work and it's brand new! so currently have to run a jumper wire between the two connectors in order for it to work. Any thoughts on why the switch isn't working? Think it's an 85deg switch which I'm pretty sure is the same as the t-stat.

Save it!!!!! Doesn't sound too bad only going by your description and I'm pretty biased being a 180B fiend. So yeah get it.

Good score on that head Craig!

Did some work on this today! Even if it was just hooking up the front doors central locking solenoids. Wasn't as hard as I first thought which is why I hadn't done it sooner. Going to have to get creative on the rear doors though, Mr Datsun didn't make 610 rear doors very central locking friendly.... No pics as I lost my good phone just before xmas and I can't find my SD card for my digi cam. Should have replacement phone soon be patient. Also as I was backing her into the garage noticed a big pile of water on the ground drove back out onto the drive to investigate. Could only see water dripping down passenger side chassis rail nothing in the engine bay. Then looked back into the inside of the car and noticed the heater box was leaking...... Will investigate further at some point.
