Oh lol, not sure if I'm being trolled by that guy commenting on the NZPC post or he's that dumb.
Free entertainment though -
Actually, make that in the next two days,
Just realised auction ends 8 June not 8 July -
So in my infinite wisdom I've found a kp starlet I kinda like (alot),
would anyone be able to check it out for me sometime over the next week? Preferably if you know your way around these things a bit as it's needing some assembly (all there though).
Will happy pay booze/gas money for your time.
edit: Oh yeah, it's in Palmerston North.
Thanks!

Thanks for the tip, I've used them before and they're better than most! Shipping just takes a while.
Have everything but the bucket now, will order soon enough.

Waiiiiit, are we talking new new or 1st gen new beetle?
One just released is acceptable, though ned spec? -
Since the e21 now has a hole blown out of the sump, decided to pull finger and get this sorted ASAP.
Almost good to go,
Bit of re wiring was needed but should be allgood now. Tank cleaned, battery in, new brake shoes, exhaust/side stand/foot pegs on etc etc.
Damn headlight bucket doesn't fit though, bloody repro crap.
I'd take a pic but don't want to face the stupid thing again tonight, will order genuine this time.

That panel work is awesome.
Is it one of those 'take as long as you want/doing it on the side so it doesn't cost moonbeams' sort of deals?
Definitely the way to do it.

Haha this guys getting some coverage lately.
Hahaha world famous in Auckland...
P.s. I think that was the night someone left a dirty possum on my bonnet, was it there when you took the pic?

So the stash has been growing, the man I bought the bike off has been an absolute gc with his info and helping me find bits.
The S90z is a pain in the ass due to being an inbetween from the S90 and honda cb's. Mashup of parts with odd fitments. Also being produced for only 2 years means resources are minimal and there's no parts book for it.
Some good news though, has the most aggressive cam of all the 90cc OHC engines and screams (apparently) to 10k, jeah!
Getting there
Sort of...

Oh, yeah... that's well nice. The blacks thinning as it were and keeping the tire profile low helps... but I've idea the nostalgia thing is gonna morph soon.
As for steel an ol' sculptor I knew said wax but I've yet to find a good one... supposedly. in a book but I haven't tried it yet is boiling down pine resin and beeswax in meths, double boiler of course.
Yeah just the overall combo works for me. It's not an overly vintage piece with chrome everywhere etc which is sweet.
That's an interesting method, way over my head but I'll have to have a read sometime!

If vinned in time, and weather permitting, I will bring the bike to this.
Need more two wheeled pine!

G'day Berj. On Sycamore Dr.
Oh damn haha, is that your shuttle on Sunset Rd some days man?
-
Shit yeah, twins are where it's at!

Yeah bare steel always looks rad, it's just the upkeep that's a pain and clear coat turns out to be a bit disappointing from what I've seen.
Still.. so awesome.
Might try keep the tank bare or something, paint is rugged there, frame is mint.
Seen that pic, this is the main inspiration. Must stick with drums, they're just better k.

Dam nice bike there!
Looks great even tho I had to turn puta upside down to see haha...
Cheers, still gutted about the gs though, hope that thing goes to a good home or you keep it! Is the photo upside down or something?
edit: odd, tablet showed it right way round, fixed
You still want some all metal fabrication done? I'm in Otara. I done some hammer welding... I love it!
Thanks for the offer man, that project has been put on hold till I get the s90 done, will drop you a pm in the future for sure.

Yeah there was a cop at the desk, he seemed like a womble alright.
This was at the Constellation/Parkway drive station.
Will try again

Revin that mother, then get some clubmans or low bars and roll.

Thanks Kirk, eventually made myself a tool by grinding away an oversized socket, worked a treat.
Anybody in the same position is welcome to borrow it.

Contacted the police to check if a bike chassis is of any interest to them. They say they can't do such a thing even with proof of purchase. Might be different with a car though.
This was a few days ago.

Well I managed to completely disassemble the c50, it's now sitting in boxes in the garage.
Thing is, I get distracted easily...Was saving to purchase a gs650e that was on sale by a member, but it just wasn't feasible with rego costs being circa $500. This came up, had to get it.
