  1. Did try that, problem is there is minimal clearance between the studs and the hub centre (stupid Germans and their efficient use of space).

So the largest bit of rod I could fit in there still bent under pressure.

Will see if I can find a fitting tomorrow and try again maaaybe

  2. I have trailing arms sitting in the garage with the hubs/disks still attached.

In my rush to remove this setup from a parts car I forgot to take the damn axle nuts off before disassembly.

    SO

Any ideas on how I can remove them? No leverage because any torque applied just swings the trailing arm around the hub axis. No brakes, tried a fuckload of heat and 1 leg on the trailing arm with the other on the breaker bar, only option I can think of is cutting it off.

Would one of those torque multiplier things aircooled guys use be any good? Can't see how it would work without brakes applied/everything still assembled.

For clarification, its a pos 36mm castle nut that seems untouched from the day it left the factory.

Can upload pics when I get home.
Feel free to take the piss, rarely do I manage to fuck myself over this badly.

  3. Haha no updates worth mentioning, exams have me by the balls at the moment. Soon though.
Apparently the m45 Michelins go pretty well, I got them from cycletreads. Definitely call up if you're ordering though 'cause their online stock levels are often out of date.
