Couldn't decide, flipped a coin, 13's are staying haha

Originality has never been a big deal imo, if it looks good, it looks good. Might give them a test fit in the coming week.
Though widening the ssr's would be sweeter in the long run (well into next year). Engine work first. Have walked outside to stare at the wheels 3 times in the last 2 hours fml.

Yeah looking at those pics I think I like the mk3's more. Maybe it's just me getting bored/not actually stepping back to appreciate what I've got enough.
Shit thanks for correcting me, 14's make it more tempting though. Hmmm

Pic of said wats.

Thought I'd show where the car is now, nothing much has changed, swapped the springs out, rides pretty average due to stock shocks though. Still saving for cert and swapping rear trailing arms for disk brake conversion before putting coilovers in, will go a bit lower but not much I think, rear needs to be level/not a big fan of rake on these cars.
Also, seriously tempted to offer a trade of these wheels for a set of watanabe's that I've seen for sale that are 14x7.5 -3 (thanks Beaver) all round.
These are x7/7.5 +4 for reference. What do you guys think? I like both and keeping changing my mind ha.

Rats dude, best of luck with the insurance co. Whether 3rd party or full you should get a copy of your contract in print/go over it well because either way you might have to know your shit very well very soon, they can be bastards.

Or a big sign at the bottom of the ramp labelled 'newschool/oldschool' with arrows pointing in the respective directions?
Who's head is big enough to wear a cone?

And my parking was terrible.
Apologies for almost backing into you.. twice

Awesome meet.
Again, thanks Tara for cleaning up.
Don't see an issue with Facebook event, but rules should be stated clearly on the fb page too for those who reckon it's sweet to leave their shit behind/state OS cars only.
Maybe enforce split level parking, say dailies lower level & OS cars up the ramp? (Or vice versa depending on weather).
Saw a bunch of sweet rides that hadn't shown up previously. A+ would trade again

Haha don't mind sleaze spec, on ramp is nearby for quick getaway regardless. What time?

North Shore pre meet on at backyard this time?

Btw, if you're looking at buying a heap of shit at once, I highly recommend http://www.wallothnesch.com (use their catalogues rather than web selection, more stock).
Justifies shipping costs (which aren't that bad really), cheap, and very easy to deal with in terms of getting past those pesky customs charges.
BMW clusters suck, always.

...or Karl

Will be there. Possible to grab a sticker off you also Chris? Pulled the last off prev. ride & windows have been too bare since!

euros on 14's are gay Dave, jap wheels on euros even more so. Do this properly or you will get max dick puches.
Lubs!
Dunno man, I reckon it's a lush combo

Have another look at it for sure. If rusty just run and put up the deetz on here. Definitely swoon worthy all round so jump it if it's solid, I fuckin' love those things.
Edit: just sayin' (I know it's an 88 here)

Yeap spoken to insurance and their details seem legit.

Thanks mate. Spare bonnet and guard are straight minus a bit if rust underneath but a wire wheel should sort most of it I think. Chrome bumper is mint. Major deal (for me) is that a single headlight grill is rare as hens teeth! Refuse to go double haha, ah well. There's no way the other party could rightly argue it's my fault so I should be sweet.
Only issue might be if the insurance co. wants to write it off. Any experience with fighting this/getting it back with a lesser payment and a live rego?
-
Well...
Fuckin' raging at the moment. Driver pulls out in front of me at a roundabout (on my left), causes the crash, then has the nerve to accuse me of being at fault "did you stop at the roundabout?" That's a give way mate.
-
Have tried searching, maybe I just suck but..
If I was to have a rear strut bar with 3 mounting points welded into the boot (1 point per shock tower and 1 to boot floor), would that be classifified as a structural modification and in turn require a cert? If so, any testing needed of the welds? Wondering if this would abide by the same rules regarding half cages etc.
http://www.racetep.com/rbrace.html
^This is exactly what I'm talking about/have sitting in my garage, just want it welded in rather than risking the bolts ripping through sheet metal.

Spotted a ae85/6 Notchy rear ended just up the road from mine. Feel sorry for the poor bugger, looked like a write off.
Multiple shades of red? Gutted if so, see that car parked up on the way to work all the time.
-
Well they sold for $800, no complaints here
Anyway, brand seems to be the main selling point with wheels. Enthusiasts know and appreciate a genuine wheel when they see it, they're just cool and feel like quality. Also resale value is something to consider vs replicas. But yes, a wheel is a wheel at the end of the day, depends on the individual.
-
Considering what people are willing to pay for rotas/widened steels etc I reckon $800 is pretty fair isn't it?
-
Awesome thanks all. Yeah wanted a decent sale while not being dick spec about the price either. Would give them a polish if the offset was low enough to spin them on the rears! Connor you're third in line mate but I'll let you know.
Wheel nuts for ssr mk 2
in General Car Chat

My mk2's were bored slightly to suit. Figured it was worth the extra cost since I'd have to get the nuts machined every time I lost one haha. About $50 per wheel
