Solex 4a1? I have the same carb and they can be absolute dogs if not clean and leak free. Worth a going over in any case. Then start to look at ignition.
Edit: also on an e21

Will actually be on time this meet... I think

Those sealed lead acid batterys last a long time, I found a place in auckland witch sells them for $45 each as they have been sitting at auto shops too long and they need to move them fast, they have a 12 month warranty.
Also interested in one since I'm planning to relocate it to the boot. Where is this place?
If you don't mind

Fuck yes dude, a dream car for sure!
Will be following this eagerly.
Plans? How's the driveline?
-
Why are you still high enough to get in that lot!

Turned up a bit late but managed to catch up with some. That sierra was so so sweet!

Maybe turning black wheels white = magic trick?

Probably used to stop overspray from getting to the tires.

Anytime man, dunno why I have so many stands haha. Shotgun a ride when all sorted

So stoked for you man, how's it drive?

Since the mounts will be slotted you could just leave them in and adjust camber to whatever you want?
I don't get why you'd bother swapping LCAs yet again.

How much will said shiz earn you? Charge per log or on some sort of rental scheme?

Thanks everyoneeeeee, Aaron I usually use the Constellation bus stop so you'll see it parked on the street quite often, that lot fills waaaay to early. I'm too impatient to wait till I'm healed so will be reaching out for help soon haha, appreciate it.
8kg front/6kg rear. The car is deceptively light at around a tonne.
Have a spare rear subframe in the garage, it'll get slotted at the trailing arm mounting points and brackets welded on. Eccentric bushes won't help me at this height. Should give me the camber/toe adjustment range I need to bring it within specs and bring the wheel closer to the fender. IIRC the e3 has a similar rear setup? I'll find the link for you.
The front isn't too bad, not nearly as bad as the 4cylinder e30's/e36's with their m4x engines that hang bloody low. But the subframe is stupid and will need a notch to give the control arms a bit of range.
Exhaust is stupid low, crossmember also but to a lesser extent.
About an inch lower at the rear and 2-3 at the front will be ideal, bit of forward rake but even arch gap, or lack of.
Questions are great, helps me think out what needs doing!
Coilovers are fortune auto's valved accordingly. Barry did all the math, ordered direct from 'murica and did the welding for the fronts.
Powerball come at me.
Will settle for $40k scratchie win.

Sold the engine I was hanging on to and finally picked these up, huge thanks to Barry at MPR for his work, welds look awesome and specs are exactly what I was after.
Fitted the rears in, can lay the chassis on the ground without touching preload but decided to be a bit conservative considering the axles are resting on the exhaust and alignment is a bit of a laugh at the moment.
Front install will have to wait, wrist surgery means it's out of action for a good while. A copious amount of beer happens to be in the garage just incase a couple of GC's do randomly stop by and help put in them in though. /ahem
Then exhaust reroute,
then alignment tabs,
then slam,
oh also needs a decent cut/polish too, oxidised white is average.
k thats my to do list for now.

Haha alright alright I'll just gun it.

Correct Ned, said planks of wood were left at a certain Wilson carpark in town so I was asking just in case.
-
Haha yeah that crest is where it's painful, higher speed won't save me this time.
-
I'll be there.
Does anyone have a couple of spare planks of wood they can bring along?
New lows means I get stuck on multi storey parking lot ramps and the one at the meet is pretty steep, not liking my chances :S

Awesome! Makes life a lot easier

Heya Clint, what's the go with having brackets welded onto existing trailing arm mounting points (welding done on rear subframe) so that I'm able to get some camber/toe adjustability?
What I'm looking at purchasing:
http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80410
There's an example further down the page.
Does it need to be mentioned for a cert? Crack testing needed?
Thanks.

No way in hell man, think about all the shit you could do to a cheaper example with the grand or whatever saved. Especially diy spec.
It's basically what I do whenever I find myself considering an overpriced purchase, just consider what could be done with the money and wait for another.

I would be mighty stoked with some pictures man, hopefully sometime when the weather clears and I've been able to trick some poor bugger into polishing the car.
