  1. so this week ive been getting stuck into this crown. so be prepared for mass load of pics ..

    got the old girl into the shed on Monday morning

    i decided to see what the problem was with the rear brakes ....

    i removed to left rear wheel and remove the brake drum to find all diff oil through out the brakes well there poked then decide to pull the axel to see what i issue was ... well there wasnt much of the wheel bearing left by the time i got there steel through out the houseing :/

    so i removed both axels and diff head to to give it a good clean out.

    man the lenghts people got through to make shit work this thing has 2 different axels one believed to be a hr 5x114 and another 5x120 hq that has been redrilled both are different splines and some one has changed the diff head to suit.

    after i cleaned all the crap out of the housing i niped into town grabed a wheel bearing

    also decovered that the rear window dosent fit..... the rear panel that has been made dose not accomadate for the chrome plus isnot the correct shape

    will have to be reshaped and timed back to that line..

    14x8 5x114 falcons centres have been welded into roh wheel bands then chromed

    after a long time of envying this car + convincing rb drifter to sell it i finally had enuf funds to buy this fine automobile

    shit will be getting down the worked 202 is on the engine stand getting the old clean up then need pull the old 202 out and slap that in its place

    the diff seal is leaking so much fluid on the left rear plus now breaks are poked and locked on ... is any one sure what diff it has papers say hq people say torrana can any one help out ?

  3. sticker sheet say tire to small for causing it to taper in also car is under 100m in rear..

    funny thing is that he went for vtnz wof 2 day the dude loved the wheels but couldnt pass him on them. rear is over 100mm but cross member is a little under and minor other things so not 2 bad.

    so yea.

    I reckon that what he's done to that car has seriously done some damage to the resale value. Panel and Paint are always the most expensive parts to tidy up on a car.

    I would be offering sub $1000 for a vehicle like that, especially considering there's a much tidier example for 2k that you can reference against.

    yeah that was my idea all though i can pannel beat this isnt much to me but i can still uses this 2 low ball the dude so i can spend more $$$ on the car.

    although his old man has all the gear to panelbeat/paint so it will be done at litle cost, but still use that to talk price down.

    paitning over chrome is just rude!

    that may cost a bit to rechrome wouldnt it? another point to help lower price

    yeah i dont kno what the fuck he was thinking when he did this but oh well another low balling point.

    only thing i can do is tell him what its worth reference the other trademe listings. give a offer if he wants moon beams ill just gap it

    another thing is under braking it pulls to the left quite badly. and when deceleration it vibrates

  5. howsit boes been on the back benches for a while now just spying .. BUT.. i found something

    ive found a 1968 411 datsun bluebird. an old bloke own it and is willing to sell it to me.

    the cars a little ruff around the edges e.g roof and drivers door has a bad dents he has decided to paint over all the chrome and rust has come through paint and major brake work.

    plans would baremetal paint back to standard slam and dslots.

    so was just wanting your thoughts on it like price mods im thinking 1000-1500

    all the other cars will run away in shame lol

    turns out johny is my mates uncle, aparantly his brother has a customline too lives further up the street?

    my car will be runing away in shame for sure
