No havnt touch anything yet. Its tricky, because when u hold the throttle at a certain place it will kinda try to die.. untill u give it more gas, then it will drive off really sluggish with like 25% power or something. Im trying to find some standard HTL's atm but havnt found any yet. Cuz u can see it has a few aftermarket ones, But they dnt seem to fit on the plug perfectly.. So that could almost be the problem there but im just seeing if anyone els has had the same or simular problems. (bad speller sorry)

So have a bit of a problem with my 1g-eu. Its going real flat in power and sometimes backfires out the air filter..Any Idea on why this would be happening would be mint! Its EFI and auto. Cheers

Buy a brand new Battery! Its worth it. $150 should get you a half decent one. I had problems with my car not running and starting ended up buying a new battery and bam! bobs ya unlce, fannys ya aunt and to hell with the pope!

It was running and then it just cut out.. SO its def getting fuel, theres spark.. I have a feeling it will be something minor. Maybe something has come loose or along those lines.. Im just trying to give u some ideas. cnt really tell with out being there to see and hear whats happening. If it was running then it cnt be the timing aye? does she have lumpy cam? Yeah like the bro steelies said it might need a real good spark maybe.?

UTERUS - hahaha random, yeah it sounds quite bad when its cold, but tents to quieter down once it warms up abit haha. But im gettting it fixed on the 21/9/12 at pit stop so one more week of this exhaust leak then she should be good for a buzz on new years!.

Hey guys, Well heres my 1987 Toyota Mark II HardTop. Scored it off Trademe for $1500, came with a WOF and Reg at the time of sale. I had sold my 92 corona that I scored for $900 down at the Momorial Park car park in palmy. Ended up selling the rona for $1500. Was carless for a day or so and seen this beast on trademe for $1500 and knew I had to have it!. The guy who owned it before me said that it was definately not a show car and that it needed some work on it. I instantly rung the guy and asked if I could come have a look at it. He said sweet, So went with a mate to cheak it out, took it for a drive and it was mint, all the interior was there nothing was missing beside the shrouds that go around the door locks on the inside. But that wasnt much of a put off. So drove back to his house and he said he ddnt want to sell the wheels with it.. And I was like fuck!! I need the wheels(cause I ddnt have another set to put on). He wanted another $200 for the wheels.. but I ddnt have another $200 to give him.. So went home that night and sleept on it. Ended up txtn him the next day and sayn I got $1500 on me right now and would you take that.. He took awhile to txt back and said ohh ok.!! I was stoked lol!! Waited about an hour for him to get back into town, then went and picked it up. The dude also told me at the time of sale that it was leaking Transmission oil out the rear output shaft seal, but my mate who is a mahchanic said that was a easy job to fix. Ive put new seal in now, It was abit of pain doing it under axel stands on the bottom height setting tho! but managed to get it in sweet as. So all I have todo now to get it running percy is just fix a small exhaust leak thats leaking out the flange up by the manny. When the time came around to get her 1st wof, It ddnt need much. Only had to change the Right steering rack boot, fix a lighting problem in the rear tail light and new window wipers! I done all the work on it myself saving me abit of money. Theres still afew things im keen to get done on it, but will have to wait. You know how it is haha. Day 2 of ownership Lick of paint on the rimz and how Im rolling now although got the rising sun on gas flap and hang ring on jesus handle now aswell. I do have all the Head Rests but I prefur them off because it makes the car feel more spacious. Up at Mt Vic in Wellington Water front in Potone Standard Air filter/ New Air filter. Hahahaha that crack my shit up. I swear to baby jesus that bitches dig the dirty Mark II. Oh was it kingpin.. I couldnt remember, I just remember reading it somewhere that it got blown up. Its allgood, seems to run ok, but lately it has been going abit flat on acceleration.. Was talking to a frined and he thinks it may have something todo with High Tension Leads. Because A couple of them have already been replaced with 8mm ones. But then again it could be a number of things. Old cars aye!, fuckn money pits.

I was reading somewhere that the 1st owner Thegreatesben (i think) he blew up the og motor the 1st w.e he had it haha, so it makes me wonder how many KMz this engine has done. And also makes me wonder when the cambelt was last changed. * Im pretty keen to do the cambelt myself but my im not sure if I have all the right tools with me down here in wellington. Could be getting myself into abit of a pickle if I go changing it with out doing abit of research. But realisticly, it shouldnt be too hard aye.? Yeah I bet she could tell afew storys if she could lol. I Love it tho, its a sweet car to roll. Not many of them around witch is cool
