It's been a wee while since I have done an update. We're all settled in our new place so there is no more excuses to get into it.

The rear quarter was stripped.. the rust had eaten through 3 layers of steel so went about replacing that

Hey lads/ladettes..

Anyone know of any decent photoshop tutorials? I have just got the program, and decent DSLR and want to learn a few basic things everyday so eventually i'd be pretty decent at it.

Any one have any that they have used or written? I know my way around a computer etc.. just not photoshop so any help would be awesome!

As for the booth idea.. I just ran a big damp sheet overhead, up the front, and on the sides. Not the rear, but it did the treat.. plus, it was only a primer base coat so metal wasn't exposed.

I'm not using 2k paint. I'd be quite interested to see this written down, so that next time he gets on his high horse.. I have this on paper. Cheers guys. I'm here searching for some advice and I was hoping some of you guys could shed some light.

Is it illegal to paint my car at my house? The reason why I ask is that today I had put some primer down onto my car, I had taken all the necessary actions.. set up drop sheets, had decent ventilation, I let the neighbours know that there may be some car paint fumes coming his way (as he has young children). Yes, I didn't put the compressor on rubber blocks or block it in to get rid of the noise.. but it's a $150 below average compressor from SuperCheap.. plus it's bloody 9am!

Another neighbour.. Mr Moaning Murtle.. (theres always one..) came over today and told me that it's actually illegal to paint a car as the toxic chemicals are going into the atmosphere. Is this true?

I didn't kick up a fuss about it, I just said no worries thank you for letting me know and then moved on with my daily task. I have tried to google about this, I haven't rung anyone yet but I might see what the council say.

Right, so given her a tune up.. Replaced most parts. I have come to the conclusion that it's the automatic choke. So, i'm just going to track one down and replace it.

Nah I didn't have time last night. Will do it this weekend. All my tools have been put into storage as i'm moving house next weekend.. silly mistake. Will keep you updated. Could be the auto choke? Have been doing some google-ing..

I'll give it a go. I tried to start the car this morning at 5:30am before heading to work. It was a pain, but I got it going. Had a look behind & was a bit smokey. It actually kind of makes sense that it's the auto choke cause when it's cold.. it sometimes idles at 1700 ish, sometimes even higher

I've bought some new spark plugs, also and oil filter & oil (28 bucks for 4 litres of oil at repco, not bad). They are ordering in me a fuel filter, and also and air filter. Could be a cool cat and go and get a sweet poddy.. :/.

@Low n slow.. do you find you have to do this eeeverytime you are going to start your car??
