Raddcatt
Hi Everybody.Welcome to my first ever post on ANY forum so please excuse any mistakes I may make(hopefully none) I'll like to document my(very slow) build on my 1982 EX Mitsubishi Lancer I bought this car off my boss as a crashed, green stickered, no rego'd car they had left it to sit underneath a few trees at their house and I said time to give her up Scott(my boss' name) so he finally gave in and sold it to me. $800 later which i was happy with So hopefully it will end up how I invision and hopefully with a fair bit of help along the way from you lot Here is the car how I bought it.

Raddcatt
This thread is a bit of a catch up at the moment as most of the stuff was done before i made the thread, but all done by me.but just documenting all in the same order its been done just for future reference. As seen in original photos, the car had no front.Managed to track down a few bumpers and grilles which anyone anywhere near myself wanted to own the moon in exchange of their parts...Managed to find a bumper only 30 minutes away from me, $90 I was fairly happy, pretty certain I wasn't going to find another anytime soon. So I shot straight over to get it. (Somehow managed to lose the photo of after I put the bumper on, but will be seen in next post anyway.) Raddcatt
Next came the doors situation.Don't know how common it is amongst all older cars but seems to be EXTREMELY common on EX Lancers. I had a quick look on the side of the doors and thought whoa need to replace these, little did I know the actual extent of how bad it really was until I took the doors off. Managed to track down a rear right door but no rear lefts in good condition to be found anywhere! Also picked up some standard EX Lancer rear springs for WOF purposes. Replaced rear door, before standards springs installed. After standard springs installed.
Raddcatt
Yay, managed to finally source a fair priced grille, so now the front doesn't look so disgusting. Was a little twisted but will do for now. Also finally a front view since getting the bumper. Will eventually look for another 1600 chrome strip bumper. Also started priming the rear of the car. Raddcatt
Have been doing a bit of sanding and smoothing out of any paint chips and majority of car is primered now. Also bought some fender mirrors off trademe, they were just a knock off plastic replica crap pair that could barely see jack out of..Came across this deal of trademe for genuine Nissan Cedric, i believe it was, fender mirrors, a MUCH nicer look to them and can ACTUALLY use the mirrors for seeing things, how awesome Also as you can tell I picked up another pair of wheels yay!SSR Mk2's13x7 0offset.They came with sanded centres and decided to paint centres blue, and had left over paint so painted the guard to to kill some boredom! (don't worry its gone now) haha
Raddcatt
Okay, so I finally tracked down a rear left door without rust! has a small dent but i don't care just happy i have a fairly rust free car! Also picked up a working window washer and overflow container and the last 2 lights I needed. So as of now, car is fully primered and I am very happy with where she has gotten to from how I had got her as! All primered! YAYYY!(also a sneakey bucket seat in there I traded for some lug nuts, on factory rails even ) An old photo of when I took her out for a Sunday drive to work, she enjoyed it considering she mainly only gets driven around the houses she's lived at! hopefully will be back on the road soon enough. (sanded centres on the Mk2's before I painted them) Topic discussion for any questions, ideas, comments or anything in generalThanks for viewing //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/47787-raddcatts-1982-mitsubishi-lancer-4g32/
