Ok so after months of daily driving sitting on 5500rpm, the engine finally shows sign of giving up. Has been leaking heaps of water from somewhere around the head. Cuz engine is on a massive angle I cannot tell if its leaking from intake or head. So my mission now is to remove intake manifold, clean carbs, put new gasket and hope bobs your uncle. Am considering another engine atm because the 797cc just cannot take average NZ terrain/roads.

some pics for update

Had an electrical problem for the past few months, some days would not start, some days will be fine.

Had a good look under the tray and there were only 6 bolts/nuts so might as well take off flat deck to have optimal working space.

After few hours of back tracing loom, fuse, earth wires finally found the damn bastard. Was a main earth line connecting to the battery terminal. Which is really weird cause it does not show any signs of corrosion or burnt marks? Anyways, new wire and 10 mins later, starts first pop now.

Also installed period tacho, pretty happy with it.
