drivekp60
Built up some new coilovers, pretty much the same as what i already had. t3 camber plates t3 sleeves 6kg/350lb springs tein keepers tokico HTS dampers OEM ae86 brakes The brakes are a bit average but ive got a rebuild kit that il use one day. (the drum brakes on the rear probably aren't helping). Didn't bother putting a photo of the coilovers up seeing as they don't look any different. Still need to mod the knuckles to fix the wack steering geometry. Bought a bride brix, mounted it up to the factory rails. Feels a whole lot more stable while drifting. The sump has been taking a bit of a hiding lately. Will need to make a bash plate before the next track day as its nearly worn right through. The motors already got enough oil leakage problems as it is. Decided to wind the coilovers down a bit more and trimmed the rear springs to suit. New and final height. don't think i could go any lower if i tried. 45mm has been cut off the bumpstops now leaving 15mm and still only has about 15-20mm travel Next job is to attack the drive shaft tunnel with an angle grinder, has been getting a bit friendly with the driveshaft/diff. drivekp60
Seeing as all the kp owners are updating there builds thought i would to. I picked up these 13x8.5 -16 mk1s for spares when im out at the track. Fitted up some 155 65s. they sit out a little bit further than i was hoping, but will be sorted once i shorten the diff. Also got an old bride zeta off BradyBro which i made some rails for and bolted in. as well as some harnesses. (not pictured) Ive been toying with the idea of making/ modding a front lip for a while now and finally made a start. Got a track day coming up in about 6 weeks time so just starting to sort some things out. disscusion: http://oldschool.co....se/page__st__80 Callum
drivekp60
So my exhaust has been annoying me for ages now. Its leaky, hangs too low and just sucks. I got some equal length stainless steel Jasma headers and thanks to Simon from Surfab for fabricating a 2 1/4" stainless steel straight pipe. Its an ear bleeder alright. The officials out at the track weren't as impressed with the noise it puts out so will need to make it a little quieter. The drift day at Ruapuna was awesome with 3rd gear entries off the front straight and manjis. The car didn't give too many issues although the plugs seem to foul up regularly. Im pretty sure the motors on its way out after over heating it numerous times, running with minimal oil and limiter bashing im surprised its lasted this long. A few photos thanks to Max Spooner and Matt Speedy. and a small video from Michael macaw.
