Guest
22/11/08 These arrived from aus, not a bad price inc shipping. 2x 14x8.5J SSR Mk.II rims, weird +8 offset means I have to runs spacers so they don't hit everything and also less dish bey but guess that made them cheaper. Still wide as though. Oh and I got a steering wheel too. Looks the part

Guest
Bought these mean, they are almost the same as my ones except 2/3 piece and better offsetwrong stud pattern though although, i might have to copy that paint stz Will probably be coming up for sale when I find something wider for the front if anyone's keen. 14x6, nice offset, sweet condition. They're like a mix between Long Champs and Equip 03s haha
Guest
Got tyres swapped over and a set of wheels nuts for them. Went for 185/60 R14 on them as I had them lying around, look perfect, took ages getting the tyres on the rim but at least they were happy to do it. http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/8075 ... 79lej4.jpg http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/9589 ... 71lha2.jpg Very happy with how the wheels sit just needs lowered badly should tuck them in quite a bit too. Plan on taking say a coil out of each corner this weekend and rolling the guards. http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=15283
Guest
First, I set up / nah nah nah "I say Derek is that your old MARKII because I do believe that shit is SLAAAAAMMMMMEEEDDDD."Okay so it's pretty fuckn slammed. 2 coils out of the front and 1.5 out of the rear. It's way lower than my Datsun ever was and scrapes on everything. Hits cats eyes and the like. Spent ages rolling the guards right I'll put the trim back on later, got a so it doesn't rub tyres at all even when it's full of da bitchez. Oh and no way it's going to get down my driveway... http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/8549 ... 91orj3.jpg http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/2295 ... 94opt8.jpg Better photos tomorrow I promise Fuck it looks good in person

Guest
Been a while no update. Had a rather large dumb guy jump on my bonnet in December, was pretty bad, bonnet hit the engine, managed to pop most of it out. As you can imagine I was pretty fucked off with the fuckwit so after getting a few quotes for repairs ($600-$900), I manged to get him to put the money through, pretty stoked especially as they'll be respraying most of the car, removing stone chips and the like so should look like new. Also have asked the dude and they'll be tidying up my wheel arches after I roll them even more to fit these mother fuckers... http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/1842/pjt1eh0.jpg http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/1456/pjt2lt2.jpg http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/8766/pjt4qq2.jpg Made from the rear of a set of 14x6&6.5" Volk Meshes. Measured them last night to be 14x9.5" with a -35 offset (so negative because the centre of these wheels sits behind the two 'rim pieces'). Just cleaned them up with a wire brush came up quite nice will give them a sand and paint the centres, question is what colour? And what tyre size? Keen for a 205/55 14 if anybody makes one. Guest
They cleaned up pretty bloody good, will just leave them dirty gold for now. Maybe red in near future. Sweet.
Guest
Sorted the seal issues and got tyres on, let's just say I owe tyreland some beers! Rubbing is minimal so going to do guards tomorrow and take it slow today. Teaser pics for now... ^ Can you say perfect

Guest
Roifl so got green stickered, just going through a checkpoint, breath tests then cop asks me to pull to the side of the road because my wheels stick out etc etc. Dealt with a female officer who was certain she was right that the tyres and wheels had to be under the fenders. Tried to explain to her that its only the tread that needs to be covered but she quickly asked that I don't tell her how to do her job , also that my front plate wasn't visible, pulled that out on the spot easy. Next thing she wasn't happy about was that one of my rear tyres had pretty bad rubbing on it, which was from before I rolled the guards, having people in the back of the car didn't help either. So yeh she went off to her car for ages and came back, didn't even mention that it was sweet the sidewalls stuck out past the guards (obviously looked it up and saw she was wrong), just the rubbing was bad and I would have to replace that tyre etc and bring the guards out further and then I should be sweet for a wof and to get the green sticker taken off. She was also gc enough to give me 14 days compliance so I can get the fine waived once it's all legal. Stoked she didn't pick up on my spacers and she didn't even measure the height of the car, spacers would likely mean I need a cert also same with it being under 100mm. Another cop came and talked to me about how sweet it looked too and that he hadn't seen anything like it (rims mostly) and wished me luck. So all in all not that bad as it's due for a wof on the 8th anyway so I'll swap standard rims on take it to VTNZ in the morning and see how I go! viewtopic.php?f=18&t=15283&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=
