QCADTA
Havent posted much for a while as i havent been doing fuck all for a while, and what i have been doing is rewiring the engine/ecu. After trying various types of 17" wheels and not liking to many, decided to go for some old school deep dish 15" x 9", they fit perfect and fill right to the edge of the guard, theyve got just over 4" of dish. just gonna pull them to bits and give them a bit of a tidy up then stretch some tyres over them

Chucked the engine in this morning and pushed it outside in to the light. probably re do the body once i get it up and running, and will lower it a bit more once i get everything back on it to see how it sits. QCADTA
well havent done much to the esky for a long time but today i thought id go get some fuel lines from super cheap, and after some dodgey connections to a fuel can thought id see if it fired after sitting round for over 3 years, and to my suprise it went first turn of the key, no fuel leaks from da evo injectors or anything, so guessin the wirings ok. loud as fuck with no exhaust/dump pipe but was rapt just to get it going. got a bit more enthausiasim to do a bit more now, will run the fuel lines properly and get some bends and joiners for the intercooler. hopefully wont be to long now before she moves under her own power

QCADTA
engine bay still needs a tidy, but at least everything works and it starts really well. installed a oil pressure and water temp gauges so need to run them in the loom properly. got the old escort loom rehashed so it now comes through the one connector and have done away with the old fuse block which is now a new one from inside the car now. QCADTA
By qcadta not that much of an update but still been doing a bit, thanks to dan (d.p.n.s) for giving ne a rear quarter window i now have all the windows in, good bastard was missing a few small things but after hunting around locally i came across an absolute gold mine of escort parts. got a new heater, front window rubber, indicator, door scuff plates and alot of other things for $80. he has a heap of 2 door escorts, estates, 4 doors, as well as the same amount of mk1 cortinas and this was just "the old stuff" in his back yard and has a whole farm with "the good stuff". so got all the electrical side of it done and everything working which is good. have run all the fuel lines properly, just got to get some p clips to attach them to the underside. yeah i skimped on the gauges and fitted som auto gauge ones they do everything i want them to, water temp and oil pressure. just got to get a fuel and boost gauge. rebuilt the heater and works 10 times better than before. have a plan for the gauge cluster but will have to see if i can get it to work first
QCADTA
well the dash turnred up today and at first looked like this but after abit of hacking and rough measuring ended up with this. got everything to roughly fit, just gotta make up a perspex front for it tomorrow and make a loom off the back of the new dash to hook into. and also tidy up the rough edges and give it a spray of paint
QCADTA
well got my gauge cluster in and working which is a relief made a perspex front for it and got a couple of indication lamps from dicksmiths, one for high beam and the other for blinkers. rehashed the old loom behind so the whole cluster can still be unplugged easily. gotta put a fuel gauge somewhere else which is no biggie. not a very exciting pic but put the rear parcel tray in with a coat of paint and also put a bit of mesh where the broken slotted vents used to be and also sprayed it as well. had to pull the turbo off as well as i noticed a few drops of oil coming out the dump pie and alot of smoke once things started to get hot noticed that i had made a piss pour job of my turbo setup and came to the conclusion i hadnt "clocked" the turbo enough for the oil drain from the turbo to the sump, thus causing it to blow oil past the oil ring on the piston of the turbo as the drain relies on gravity alone so after alot of fuckin cursing and a few hits with the hammer i spun the core of the turbo to where it was sitting right and put it back on. had to remake the drain pipe and one of my water lines is a bit close to the housing now but after firing her up and runnin it for a while, no smoke and no oil patch on the garage floor = win for me. shit jobs like this slow things down a bit but learning all the time. QCADTA
thought id better put up a quick update, havent been doin much shit but have managed to get some shit done. got one of these made a couple of weeks ago and had the escort driving in and out of the garage. the lsd works, also got a driveshaft loop to put on as well.xcuse the rangi exhaust. also hooked up a boost gauge, fuel setup which still needs finishing, modified tank for fuel return and also to fit 5/8' line and an intank filter. nissan coil packs are known for failing due to heat so took a section out and meshed it, got bored and put a ford logo on it as it sits now. QCADTA
not much of an update, got a driveshaft loop in, also had an hks bov from my old evo lying around so got a mate to do a bit of tig welding and plumbed it in.
QCADTA
got my window washer bottle sorted, its an xe falcon one witch i put up inside the right guard, it runs off the old horn button since ill be usin the one on the wheel now. ran new lines for it and it works a treat got an early fathers day present. perfect wheel for the job. also pinched a set of belts off the old man. need a wash though. wasnt happy with the state of the wiring so tidied it up and put it on a bit of mdf under the dash got some more shit to post but will do it later. QCADTA
got my new landrover brake master cylinder with the 1" bore. lot different in size but bolt straiht up.pedal is now really firm. and of it fitted. just had to make a retaining bush to keep the brake pedal attached to the master cylinder also made a rangi heat shield to protect some of the electrics also for the maiden drive i thought id better put some pins in to keep the bonnet where it should be. and me off for a drive round the block. to say i was stoked would be an under statement considering its only running about 6psi of boost the lsd was workin quite well, only changed quietly in to second at about 1/3 throttle and the back snapped out and left two black lines down the street brakes work good too! side exit exhaust also has nice sound to it, until i save up for a descent system
