Do 3k-b heads have higher compression? Also how much bigger are the ports?

Would 2 4k carbs on the standard toyota twin carb manifold be overkill on a 4k with a ported head and a lumpy cam? The parts are just lying there so I thought id give it a go. Or woud it be pumping just too much fuel in?At the moment its got a 32/36 webber on it

Thanks

yes they will have higher compression, but i think i have read somewhere that the 3k-h heads are the best to raise compression, if you not just thinking of plaining the head. And standard 3/4/5k carbs are shite, youd be beetr off with your weber, or save and get twin sidedrafts.

I was talking to this old fella the other day who used to race ke's back in the day, and he said that twin downdraughts will always be better than a single if you want more power, because a single simply cant get enough air down it. But yeh he said that twin sidies are the ultimate. He said they used to get ke25's doing 140mph!!! and that was from a 3k!!
