  2. YES! I managed to get the Front Right strut out and popped the Cobra in there. So new clearance with both springs in: Not bad.
  3. Alright seeing as I am an inbred, would cutting the standard spring to the same length as the lowering spring make the car lower than the lowering spring when I install it? Or higher?
  4. Wow, calm down flyingbrick I'm not going to butcher the lowering springs, just the standard springs So what I might do is put the lowering spring and standard spring next to each other, and lop of the standard spring to the lowering springs level, then lop off an extra coil.
  5. Ha yeah, managed to snag the tires on them too. I think they were supposed to take them off but forgot?
  6. ^^ Still need to test that Alrighty, so this morning I got to work on fixing the strut. I managed to get the fork out by putting a jack under the brakes and jacking it up to the max. After that I slotted an adjustable wrench underneath the shock nut and tightened the nut by hand as much as I could. After that I let the jack down, and it released the fork. I then removed the fork then undid the shock nut, following with a big bang of the spring decompressing! Now, I assembled the coilover onto the shock, and made it captive. **WARNING** The following may make you vomit! This is how it sat. Raised like a maafacker! HOWEVER! The gods of Low witnessed my despair and sent me a pair of Cobra SuperLows! So installed them and the result's are as follows: OMG SOME LOW!! Dropped it about 2" which is near perfect. So I decided to chuck the new wheel on as a test. Doesn't look to bad
  7. Tis' all good. It does seem a little gay, further more the UV interior light arrived. So basically 90's homoerotic rave in the Shuttle time!

  11. LOL! I did, I picked them up this morning and they don't fit over the coils
  12. Well by the looks of it, the spring was compressed heaps, so when I jacked the car up (as high as the jack could go) , the spring and top hat was still intact. So I had to take the fork out so there was enough clearance for me to get the spring out, but when I took the bolt that holds the fork in place, the strut pinged down but there still wasn't enough clearance for the spring to come out. Hence it been stuck.
  13. So I tried taking the springs off this morning using flyingbrick's method: But I fucked it up as usual. What I did was install the strut completely then let the car down onto the wheel. After that I undid the top shock nut then jacked the car up. Now obviously the shock didn't move because the bottom fork hadn't been unbolted. Without thinking I unbolted it then the strut pinged down and is now stuck However! Good news prevails. Seeing as I learn from my mistakes, when I get home tonight I will fix it up and try again. So what I will do is re-assemble the strut, remove the fork completely, THEN unbolt the shock nut so it pings down onto where the fork WAS stuck. G'day.

  15. I'm going to chuck them in the blue ones I got. Guess I will find out soon. Also I got lowering springs on the way so hopefully they should lower it :/
  16. I have lined them up next to the struts, and the springs aren't long enough with the perch at the bottom, but if I wind it up a bit they should captive.
  17. *Soz, pics don't like rotating* Alrighty, I picked the sleeves up last night. They must have been in the shed for a while cause they were covered in cobwebs and shit. So I took them apart and gave them a clean with some Meth's, then put them back together. Might respray the springs, looks like they used to be red. So I will hopefully get the fronts installed before the weekend, and the rears fitted on the weekend.
  18. Ha. I've got 2 sets of standard springs and shocks for WoF's Basically I wanted coilovers for if I get a cert, and lowering springs for whatevz. But I only have a front set of lowering springs.
  19. Also got a UV interior light on order for max crazyness.
