true only removal of said inlet manifold and sand blasting will clean out carbon build up.

it may sound like crap but a cheap alternative that works is water or brake fluid in a conventional spray bottle so that its a mist when exiting the nozzle .keep revs up at about 2000rpm and spray into inlet .don't spray too much at once so that engine stalls just enough and keep engine revs up!

just a thought are u using those rubber front and rear arch seals under inlet manifold if so they could b causing a vacuum leak between inlet gaskets and inlet ports especially if heads have been skimmed .try removing those arch /bridge seals and replace them with a thick bead of good quality rtv sealer and see that it compresses when refitting manifold .allow adequate time for drying /curing before starting motor .

Hi can somebody clarify whether or not the engine mounting hole configurations differ from series to series on 3sgte blocks or are they all the same .Cheers
