  2. Hi
I'm currently rebuilding my Hitachi 2 barrel carburettor from a mazda 1300 stb and I need an exploded diagram that my mechcanic can use as a reference.
The carburettor has been opened up at some stage (long ago) and there are screws in wrong places so things are back to front.. so things just harder for me .
I'm not sure if it is the original carb now...
I don't have any literature that show's clear exploded diagrams.
There nothing on the net that refers to the factory carb (if it is ?) Model : DCG 306 24j 612
I have posted on Ausrotary but  had no usefull help
I phoned mazda .....well don't even go there !
So the question is can anyone on here help out ?
The perks of owning a rare car!

    Thanks
  3. Hi if clearance is a problem use a pbr vh40 remote booster these have a bigger diaphragm which are designed for disc setup, the vh 44 which are smaller are more suited to drums

I used a vh40 on my 1300 theres a bit of mucking around plumbing it in, but well worth it works a treat !

  4. hi this my 1977 mazda 1300 estate i brought this off a guy down in christchurch a few years ago now. i always wanted a wagon since i was a teenager .i started to enquire about importing one over fom aussie when this came up for sale, a stroke of good luck! it needed abit of work on it at the time and the money wasn't there to do it so i parked it up in storage

  5. Why the interest? Ring Geoff at "A Motor Company" in Dunedin if you really wanna know about that era of Mazda in NZ

because iv been trying to digg into this for while its always been a blank area that iv always wanted to know more about and that there's not many of these cars around now .

second reason is i own the MOT 1300 estate that H8V8S "alex" was talking about earlier .

  6. those bmw guys McMillan used to sell the mazdas in auckland pre ford involvement....I worked at a mazda dealer and we had all the old 1000-1300-1500 and bongo etc parts books with red vinyl covers

hey thats pretty sweet man are these guys still trading in auckland by chance ?
