  1. I havent fiddled with them yet, i think ive clicked the dampening up 4 clicks and probably driven less than 50km but they seem a shit tonne better than the previous home made coilovers, im booked in for alignment and setting everything this friday. Ive already explained why i went with the s13 set up, i struck a decent deal backed up by searching on here what people had used, possibly mx73 stuff wasnt available when the posts were made or whatever reason but they have suited my application so far

word about the s13 setup dude! ive been following this on here and Instagram and love it! great work keep it up.

  2. i still don't get this, why not get mx73 bc's, they are designed for x chassis.

(i run kei office s13 up front and would bin them for bc's all round)

Which are cheaper to buy? i Bought a full set of s14 Apexi N1 adjustables for $300 and noone who has MX73 bc's will sell for under a grand. Plus you can use the full silvia front end set up which means better brake options, easier to get more lock and cheaper parts. best decision i ever made for my GX61.

  3. Wow... looking back at the things ive "been into" and the things ive done the this GX61 its actually getting me down... lol. Reading the bullshit gayarse comments about rotas being cool and stickerbomb going on I wonder if I was abusing the bulb abit to much :/ hahahaha. If there is anything I have learned from the other Members posting comments saying "just get genuine wheels and slam it job done" im sorry I should have listened to you then I look back an ill admit I didn't do this GX any justice. Time has gone on and my views on the whole "drift spec everything" and "rota wheels hard!!!" Have completely changed. I know now that the car doesn't need a whole lot to look good. So ive gone back to the drawing board an began to rewrite the fate of this old beast..... some of you may still disprove of the choices im going to do but that tends to happen now and again. But youll be pleased to know that only meaningful stuff is getting done to it. Yes I may be a bit "gay" but im trying to do it justice but still keep it "my" car and if any of you actually know me you'll know im abit "out there" to say the least hahaha. Anyway I will be posting more and adding pics more often because work on this beast has resumed. If anyone actually still gives a shit chuck a post on the discussion page of this thing lol. Other than that I'll just be here doing my own thing

  5. Its been a long time since I posted as of late but haven't had much to post many because all my moneys been going in to my s13. Anyway ive acquired a 1jz-ge and auto loom etc for the old beast so the 1g rebuild will be awhile away and itll go into another car.   Bought a whole Toyota Mark II for 350 but only after the heart to chuck in the GX so itll just be a auto cruzer with enough power to over take within reason. Just sorted a workshop to put her to actually get some decent work on her done im actually depressed with how it looks covered in pine needles and slammed on steelies (wheels are on another car) just sitting the doing nothing. that is by far my favourite car I have and most probably will ever own. (Big call I know but so many good times and memories in her cruising round)

anyway that's all for now ill post more regularly when works getting done and pics as it happens.

  6. Hello.

I have lowered my gx61 corona and the back has gained monsterious amounts of camber compaired to what it originally had.

It started out with maybe 0.5 of a degree of camber and now it must have like 4.5 - 5 degrees of camber, Which IMO looks pretty Sweet but as ive been told will make me fail cert even though the suspension is captive and about 90mm off the ground, Hence cert (which involves abit more than low but you get the idea).

Anyway, If anyone has any secrets or some magic-voodoo shit about removing camber such as shorting your rear LCAs or making camber arms (if thts possibe). Please lead me a hand as im wanting to pass cert when the car is ready.

    Thanks, Chuff.

  7. Hello,

Bought this in the weekend for $200 and crap loads of labour on a S13 (well went half with my brother) but anyway, Its not to bad condish but kinda rough in places. Engines kinda stuffed bearings ran partly but runs kinda. reason my spare wheel is on the front is its dead flat.

anyway  i have another kp but with the different front end so il be changing the panels and bonnet etc (Not bug eye though, Yuck). cos i like it more than the one on it currently. She will see a full Respray and a new exhaust system and other bits and bobs. wanting to keep her low maintance and reliable.

    End for now.

  8. New update, Been long time, Mainly cos had no phone to upload any pics and couldnt really be bothered.

But things that have happening since last post:

    1. Bought a Greddy Emanage Ultimate Piggy back ECU and loom (piss cheap)

    2. Wheel spacers on back and front now (properly this time), Back looks mean but front looks gay cos high as because of a lack of engine in the bay.

    3. Found that when i was ready to rebuild the block that one of the pistons is screwed, so 1gge ones will do, People on here say that'll be allgood.

    4. my brother made me some 2.5inch stainless tips which look pretty.

    5. Started to make a alloy front facing intake plenum.

    6. Bought a chinga T3T4.

    7. scored a intercooler and oil cooler off a mate for doing work on his car.

    8. replaced some broken parts such as tail light and other bits and bobs.

    9. Bought a shit load of genuine Toyotta parts for the engine rebuild.

    10. STICKERBOMB IS BYE BYE. some will be pleased to hear.

    Toodles for now.

  9. OMG I LOVE YOUR CAR. (for giving up on you as soon as you try to go show off your stickers and rota's and act all coolguy about them. )

    xoxo

Hahaha. Thought someone would make a comment like that.

(P.S. We all carnt afford genuine JDM wheels, and if i like stickers and you dont IDGAF.)

But thanks for making a comment to keep this Topic going. xoxo.

  10. MY CARS DEAD!!!!!!!!! went to go to the NZPC hardpark in it, Had a big rush to get the wheel spacers to fit and have no rub so that was allgood and got it sorted and going fine.

So we set off from home, and got about 20km and started to hear a HORRID sound, so i thought that i should pull over, So i did and looked around the engine, and it didnt look good. think it was the tapets and the big end bearing that have stuffed up Luckly we stoped right oppisit a Undercover cop and he drove on. so i decided to go back home and not risk it ended up geting the car 100m from home half way up a hill. So me my brother and sister pushed it to 3/4 up the hill. Glanced at the dash and the water temp gauge was in the red. OOOOppppssss.

Had some powerade in the car so i tryed to cool down the block and raitator and that "KIND OF" worked, anyway got it started and got home and the it finally gave up the ghost and is now sitting in our yard dead. So il push it into the shed and start pulling it apart to get the engine conversion underway.

LOL. Oh well......... One good thing to come from it. (I spoze)
