Didn't have the chance to take a photo as I was driving between Matakana and Walkworth today, but spotted a place with god knows how many Jaguars and Rovers out the front.

did you slyly snap that pic as you pretended to tie your shoelace?
If he wasn't rubbing one out instead, I'd be very disappointed.

There's a red one I see quite often around Titirangi and Glen Eden (in Auckland) which is lowered and on some decent wheels. Bloke behind the wheel is sporting an excellent mullet. I feel like I'm missing out by not owning a K11.

Wow, I can't believe one of these is still around. Genuinely lusted after these in my late teens. Yeah, I was a special child.

Of course there is a Scarles sticker on the rear bumper.

If you'd told me at the start of the year that a Nissan Micra thread on Oldschool would be onto the 19th page and picking up more steam, I'd have said you'd spent a little too much time on the glass BBQ. 2020, what a year.

Definitely my GTI-R. Getting harder to find decent ones these days.
Still pining for a late 80s/Early 90s Japanese hot hatch or something like a dirty turbo Cefiro (99% if them seem to RFB'ed to death at this point).

Sneaky Mazda 1300 spotted today, as I waited behind an FD3S to get gas.

I remember turning on a broken power point in a friend's garage at one point. I was not a smart child, put it that way. Now I teach children.....

Have you still got the relatively stock E39A as well? Building a little collection of blue smokers still I hope.

Where is this, out of interest? Have two mates restoring one and wonder if they want to try score it as a parts car.

They don't rust, nothing major goes wrong with them, just little niggles that are easy to sort, is it manual or auto and what year is it?
Cheers for the response. 2001 and Manual.
Turbo is smoking and not boosting apparently according to the seller.

Seems to be the right time to chirp in. Looking at a Mk4 GTI on the weekend that apparently has a rooted turbo. What sort of obvious things should I look at with such a car? Do they rust in any particular areas?

This was my one. Sold it in 2017 for what seemed like bugger all. Then Covid hit in 2020, and the reality set in that I was never going to justify spending the money they were now commanding on another. Gutted I sold it, as I loved the heck out of it. Shouldn't have listened to the now wife.
Great to see another still alive and kicking, with a bit of love given to it.
