Yeah brown mark II wooden wheel is hard to find, most are Cresta.
-
Live axle? So is it a pre-F/L MarkII or a POS Cressy?
It isn't that thing that's been on the tard for AGES that supposedly had a 1GG in it?
What's the stock steerer like, fucked?
It's not the one from TM, I have the dash and wheel from that one. The chassis was not good and front doors not good because of cheap mirrors.
-
Yes, if you take it apart and sand/vanish they come out ok. It just depends if the plastic looks clean enough.
-
Fix the wooden one or find a cleaner one
At least throw it in the boot

There was also a version of the stereo above which included a remote control.
Fog lights ect.
The original turbo ones had some extra bits and pieces on the dash.
Best ones were the factory manuals with cruse control (autodrive).
-
It doesn't have autodrive does it? (I'm guessing you would have mentioned), or any other factory goodies...
PS if you decide to sell down the track i'll jump on the queue!

It's just all the little things,
The history of the car I believe it was imported to Auckland in 89 it had a single owner for a long period of time.
It was bought from Hamilton around 2009 perhaps 2008 (off this trademe member i believe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listin ... er=1215129). Arrived stock with the 1GEU. Engine was stripped out and replaced with the 1ggte, new radiator was added, guards were pumped out and it was sitting on 100 spokes for some time.
As it stands the exhaust and springs are missing which makes it a bit hard to get very far. I have a set of mint floor mats for it somewhere.
It needs a bit of body work and the bushes need replacing but everything is there except the original stereo, front bumper, chrome arches, bonnet lip and fender mirrors.
Rego is on hold and all numbers match except obviously the engine.
If you were serious about buying it I would recommend grabbing the one in CHCH as well.

здароф, а чего я тебя не вижу на русском сайте олдскул карс?
Да
может быть, он есть. (если не ему сообщение URL?)
But welcome, Best to use only English on this forum as it is based in New Zealand
Not too sure about the GX71 but they are dam easy to get into a GX61 so would assume the same for yours!
Some of the other guys on this forum should know (I assume there is a bunch that have done the GX71 conversion)

Привет!
Good choice on the wheels.. Use some polish and buff them until they shine!
The wheels would look best with some tyres stretched on. 175 tyres should do the job
Best of luck with your car, St Petersburg is a wonderful city!

Absolutely beautiful!.
Being a 63 definitely puts it in a different league. It's not very common for these earlier ones to popup in Japan. You will generally only find the 1967 onwards model Prince.
Having watched the car for sometime on Trademe I am happy to see it ended up with someone on Oldschool
All the best of luck if you decide to proceed with the rebuild!

Sounds Good, Will try to gather some interest round the shore
Look forward to meeting you all after watching the forum for some time!
