yeah it does get a wee bit hot at the exhaust outlet about 400 degrees

these guys do a piggy back ecu so you can do a DPF delete, I am in the process of doing it to a 2008 Coaster, getting engine code p2002 and multiple forced regens are not helping at all ( also trying to get info out of toyota as to the workthrough for the code)

Mines almost as good

that j2 w/ isuzu swap is on trademe for sale at the moment isn't it? or another similar. reckosn it had toyota 13b in it or something. the isuzu lump would be heaps choicer, though.
Also, was that O303 a v8 one? those things must really snot along. The 6s not so much. amazingly simple powerplants in them though, bloody grouse. Hato Paora maori boys collegeup the road from my parents place in feilding used to have a 303 with the more uncommon v6 in it. used to always break down up the road and they'd all pile off and start running lol.
I can't say I'm much of a bus fan but starting to appreciate them after working for a bus and truck parts outfit for a few years hah.
you're darren, aren't you?
yeah I am who be this
It is the V6 O303 now based in marton
Nope that not the same J2

Oh they back on trademe,Must off came to an arrangement i spotted these a few months back but they sorta disappeared, guessing cause all of the vehicles are over seas
-
The reason why they use NO2 instead of O2 is because of the safety factor,NO2 is just as much of an oxidiser as O2 but way safer for transport/useage, where as O2 is a bomb just waiting to go off
sounds interesting
Also have you thought of injecting LPG as a Liquid as it will cool the intake charge and also give u a boost in fuel/octane..

Yeah I have already put my name on the Hino as a house bus when we are done with it
There are a heap of the old shape Mercs in NZ,Use to be used as fert spreaders BUT u will find most of them have chassis rust because of the fert + water = acid....
I also like the newer 6x6 MAN trucks that are coming up for sale at the moment....

Here are some pics of some of our buses we had/have
SB3 beddy de reg at the moment half done conversion 300 ci petrol and box from a later model NFM
1986 Hino FT175 4x4 MY baby,28 seats,eh700 engine, I have fully rebuilt pretty much everything in this bus, engine/gearbox/transfercase front rear axles..
may not be the flashest of buses we run but it will go anywhere
and Now for some of the ones we have got rid of
EY1460 1968 Ford R1116 360 ci turbo 6 speed box plus 2 speed rear diff
Has been dismantled
IT4975 Bedford J2 had a isuzu 4bd1 conversion was sold as a house bus
FK9382 1971 Ford r116 360ci turbo 5 speed box 2 speed rear diff,EX Newlands bus service,we on sold it as a house bus it was then on sold to a guy who use to drive it for newlands and he is restoring it back to a bus
JG6294 1979 Mercedes 303 ex ARA we had this for many many years (approx 20) we onsold it as a house bus it had done in excess of 750,000 k/m when we sold it
LF3799 1983 Nissan Patrol 3.3 diesel 5 speed box 4wd I done many miles in this but rust got to it and it was scrapped

Yeah I see they have moved it as well I guess 86 is not old enough I wonder If I put my brumby up it would be moved
-
Well no this does not have the adjustable suspension, there was 2 setups a pneumatic and a hydraulic I have a full hydraulic set up in my shed not sure if I am going to install it..
I also have this
Which had the digital dash and funky steering wheel/gear lever BUT I am scrapping it as it is to far gone have sold the dash to recoupe some of what it owes me,I will also use the intake manifold on the upgrade I will be doing to the RX in the near future...
-
Yeah you can do that but by Christ its hard work it's hard enough doing it in the normal 5 gears as it revs hard and fast I usually just do high range on the open road and low around town....
-
Yeah it not a huge low range but it certainly makes a difference around town

When I got her
A couple of guys on here Knew this car before i got her namely Waimaks/Johnnyfive and Keltik as it was Waimaks before i got her
she was in pretty good condition BAR the rust at the bottom of the "A" pillars
so I welded the rust up and plated some
Here is the stuff i used, also fish oiled the bugger to try and slow the rust down
I also built an exhaust
Down pipe of the turbo
Mid section,Has since had an extra Muffler fitted as it was deemed to loud
The nice shiney stainless muffler well it was till i painted it
The engine as it got the car,EA82t 1800cc OHC turbo
the only real change was a BOV and only because i was given it
Next was the rims as i have a few sets to try
it started with the original "H" rims which were a wee bit boring
I tried these 13" ones first
But i think these 14" are way better and as I got 2 sets of "rally" tires for $80 I should have tires for awhile
How she looks now

also if there is no removal threads in the drums, U can drill and tap some yourself (easier if you know how the hub looks under it) just drill an 6.5mm hole then tap it with an 8mm bottoming tap, you can tell when you go from drum to hub as the drums are cast iron(Usually) and the drilling swarf will be a grey powder, the hubs should be steel so will get a normal swarf, u will need to drill into the hub a few mm's to allow tap to work
-
will Post in here now oops my bad
those Tires look very Familiar
May have to post up my build/restore now
-
Looking good I have built a few trailers in my time, and a multi use one is an awesome idea I have a plan in my head to do similiar using the dual rears of a Mazda Bongo
one thing i would of done a wee bit different is where the bracket for the mud guards come out i would of made them as wide as the mudguards,So that if you clip a post or something the guards are protected
these bits right out

Good work, I have been a bus mechanic/owner for 25 years and I like what you have done.
I would say that in japan this would of been a Kindy bus, as the mainstream buses would of been higher in the roof, also the factory seat mounts would of been higher ( kindy buses have lower seats for the little ones).
