The Commodore station wagon was called Voyage. And the Commodore (as we know it in Europe) was put out of production in 1982, so I would say Mikuni is right.

I really enjoy this project. Don't deny the roots, go for the Opel grille!
OT. I had an Opel Rekord E2 -83 (the weak facelifted twin) once, and damn I miss that car. They're getting pretty rare here, so it's hard to find a new better one...

I think it's just a stroked up B230/B234 from the 240/740 series. The head is the same as in the cars, the only great difference being the crankshaft and pistons. IIRC, if you're going to put the marine crank in a car engine, you need to grind out the block a bit or else it won't rotate freely. And somewhere close around that place is an oil channel...

Cars you own: Opel Rekord 2dr sedan -67, Opel Commodore Coupé -68, daily boring shit car Audi A4 -96
Mods to them: Rekord just lowered and other wheels, Commodore is torn apart right now, removed trims & debadged, BMW E34-headlights, Omega 2,6l-engine etc. More pics can be found here.
How you found out about oldschool: Got linked to random image thread from a swedish forum, and I don't know of any better old school forum.
Anything else you want to add: I'm not sure how much I will be able to contribute to this forum since I'm at the other side of the world, but I will make a try
