  1. So ive been mucking around with this lately.

The new look (version 2) is well under way.

Chucked my 14x8 work equips on the front with 155 55s and some 14x7 starsharks on the back with 165 60s.

Fixed up my fiberglass Goodline bonnet that had flown open on the previous owners car. Gave it a coat of white paint then fitted some alloy bonnet pins to hold it down.

Fitted up my zenki lip. Now that im running 14s i have a little more clearance which avoids the lip getting sucked underneath the bumper.

Put some tint over the fog lights to change it up a bit more.

Also picked up some face lift mirrors which have really grown on me.

Lastly i acquired a fiberglass hatch that has an oem spoiler molded in. A weight saving of 10kgs even with a glass window.

Ive got a drift day coming up in a few weeks time, only small bits and pieces left to do.

  2. ahaha yea the dip stick popped out and sprayed oil everywhere, i put some wire around it so that it couldn't pop out and carried on drifting.

maybe a bit too much crank case pressure. too scared to check compression.

I just run cut lowering springs in the rear of both my cars.

  3. Im keeping my t series as is for a wide track and pumping out the guards.

Hey callum, no one can seem to answer me but can you use ae86 rear seperate adjustable shock and spring perch coil overs in a kp?

im not sure if they would go straight in but there was a guy on here that was running them in his kp. was a 3sge bug eye.

  4. I went for ling longs this time, generally i just buy what ever is cheapest.

I didn't know that ling longs came that small lol. That's cool thanks man.

I know should ask this on your starlet discussion but did you end up putting that t series diff in your kp?

I haven't got round to it yet, will need shortening etc first

  5. Ah so its been a while since my last post.

Have made some progress recently. Small port 4age is now fitted with a t50 and locked t series diff.

    hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Interior is minimal, bride fixed back seat, harness and a Nardi wheel and that's about it.

Robbed the coil overs out of my Starlet and cut down some old lowering springs for the rear.

    hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The exterior is pretty basic, some facelift bumpers and fog lights.

    some 13x7 / 13x8 ssr mk2s with 155 65s all round.

    hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhm

A raspy straight pipe with a Yoshimura muffler on the end to make those ears bleed.

crappy bookface link from out at Ruapuna the other day.

  6. So my exhaust has been annoying me for ages now. Its leaky, hangs too low and just sucks.

I got some equal length stainless steel Jasma headers and thanks to Simon from Surfab for fabricating a 2 1/4" stainless steel straight pipe.

Its an ear bleeder alright. The officials out at the track weren't as impressed with the noise it puts out so will need to make it a little quieter.

The drift day at Ruapuna was awesome with 3rd gear entries off the front straight and manjis. The car didn't give too many issues although the plugs seem to foul up regularly. Im pretty sure the motors on its way out after over heating it numerous times, running with minimal oil and limiter bashing im surprised its lasted this long.

A few photos thanks to Max Spooner and Matt Speedy.

  7. Seeing as all the kp owners are updating there builds thought i would to.

I picked up these 13x8.5 -16 mk1s for spares when im out at the track.

    jan2012005_zps0cadbe4d.jpg

Fitted up some 155 65s. they sit out a little bit further than i was hoping, but will be sorted once i shorten the diff.
