  1. Yeah you deffinately need a heat gun and quality film for medium to hard out curved windows, when you heat the cheaper stuff it melts and shits itself like nothing. If the windows is off a ute or say a early to mid 80's hatch you could probably get away with using the cheap stuff without too many hassles.

  2. Why fuck around with 2,3 or even 4 piece back windows? One piece jobbies are usually done in under half an hour fitted. Multi piece back windows are a pain in the arse, high chances you will wreck your demisters when splicing along them with also a higher risk of contamination when you pull the redundent pieces of film off. Too much effort for a crap quality product that doesn't do shit and looks ugly and that is 100x harder to work with.

  3. I'm sorry but you get what you pay for in the end. Repco, Supercheap and Pre-cut film brought from TradeMe is nothing but rubbish. The UV protection is miniscule, the film is thin (usually only around three layers not including the backing sheet which you pull off). The film colours are made from dyes not metallic or ceramic based like quality products(That's why the colours fade over time, because the dye is running out of the film and also why you get blue and green hues). If your on the cheap and have a few hours spare and don't care that the film will only be good for six months use the cheap shit.

The films we use hail in comparison to the cheap buggers. 99% UV protection, up to 55% heat reduction when using ceramic films and they will last you at least 10 years when applied right. If it's your pride and joy your tinting, get the good stuff.

  4. yeah it is, in the middle, after the handbrake, there are two small consoles with clear plastic lids on them. One is for putting shit in it and one is for the tape stacker/8 track cartridge thingy in it. I can't find any info at all on this, so I was wondering does anyone know who I can get in touch with that will maybe point me in the right direction. Probably easier if I get a pic up of it/location
