To gt the steering arm off the rack there is split tube pin that u need to drill out in order to unwind the arm off the rack to replace the steering arm

If its the bottom arm ball joint az far az im aware its cast into the arm so u'll hav to replace whole bottom arm (i could be wrong on this tho)

I do how ever hav spare bottom arms which i wnt need az iv put adjustable camber 1's in

I hav a few mates wiv rotaries running b1600 diffs and they are definitly nt gentle on them and they hav survived a hidding for a long time

I dropped a little skid in my drivway yesturday and suspect i broke another escort axle az only had 1 spining u would thnk that wiv a lockd diff both would spin but nt yesturday

If the b1600 breaks it breaks i guess so far for my conversion its only cost me about $110 that includes buying 3 diffs selling 1 and getting discs and s3 rx7 calipers also hav made caliper mounts for free

well picked up both b1600 diffs from palmy on friday managed to squeeze them both into the back seat ov a vl commodore had to take the rear door handles off and bash in the studs to gt the doors to close then got a txt/call from a mate in Oakune asking if i was selling 1 so called in to his place and sold 1 to him so ended up with jst 1 coming home but still means i gt 2 at home yussss

Just Scored not 1 but 2 complete B1600 Diffs from trademe for $80 jst gtta pick them up and that will mean i will hav 3 b1600 diffs for my esky  soooooooo awesome

oil feed will b feed from the oil filter side under the intake plenim usually a braided line not a metal one like from factory

factory oil feeds from 25dets run on same side az turbo and hav a big loop thingy

luk for extra holes cut to fit intercooler piping (depending on intercooler kit tho) and if it has 1 or not

Ive got a set up running cosworth disks and laser tx3 turbo rear calipers. 247mm so easy fit under a 13x7 set of hotwires

Any Chance you got any pics im jst tryna suss caliper mounts etc out and brake lines

Hav u gt any pics ov disc conversion on ur courier diff or even old templates for caliper brakets??

chea fresh new rebuild diff, new bearings, seals etc.

 

looks the part. carbs away getting fixed by the guy that tuned it. will be good to see how it ends up otherwise going ida ild say.

Where did u get ur bearings and seals for diff from and what they cost???

reset leaves 3" and chuck 2" block in az well and polish up some hotwires and u b set and use cortina super lows in the front

finally got my hands on a complete B1600 diff scored it for $150 guna pick it up from auckland this weekened hopefully if the guy ever emails me back haha

Finally my hunt for a B1600 diff is over

i have brought one off trademe in auckland for $150

which i intend on piking up this saturday cant wait to get it all machined up and fitted into my esky az i am totally sick of changing broken axles

Hopfully this diff setup will handle a bit more ov a hiding than the standard escort axles

Any help on what is required to fit a B1600 diff to a Mk2 Escort is alwaysed welcome
