  1. right, turned out supercheap is bit hopeless. so yehp, I will get them from toyota on Monday.
  2. I need 3-4 gasket around the water pump due to I Had to taken few parts out. probably buy a new thermostate as well. I will see if i can buy them from supercheap individually.
  3. why? my cutting skills are shit? the pump has been replaced, also the had look inside the pump. the propeller looks new. and, The water is pissing down from the Ring Hole at the engine While I filled it up.
  4. LOL, yes, it actually just a gasket. ok, going to supercheap now. buy a sheet of gasket.
  5. right, everything is out, now, I can't find the O ring. shit. Now it's a mission to get it replaced as I don't have the original broken part. Or go to toyota of course.
  6. pretty hard to explain without taking photos, but I can't because it is tight as space. These two nuts basically connected a large section of piping to the thermostate housing(not the bottom hose) otherwise I would have to take them out as a whole. thanks for that, I will have a good here. Hoses are off long time ago.
  7. What I was trying to do is not breaking the pump apart. but taking to pump out from the engine and replace the O rings behind the back plate. errh, anyone has taken the whole pump out before?
  8. right, the Workshop manual I found online doesn't make much sense to me. I took 3 main bolts out also the are 2 nuts I took out from the pipe goes to the back of the engine and the Injector. But still, I think the pump is connected to the top hose to the radiator. which I can't work out how to disconnect the pump from that.
  9. right, that explains everything then. The O rings at the back have never got replaced I would say. And I hope all the stuff inside the aftermarket waterpump will not fail any time soon. If it is what I think it is. pump out, replace o rings, pump back on, coolant, bleed, and drive.
  10. yep, it leaks from the back plate of the water pump. which is the O ring, 80% sure now. I don't know How normally the procedures are for replacing the water pump. but looks like the front plate of the water pump is new. and the Rear Plate is just OLD as the rest of the engine. Is that Normal? also, there is only sealant between the front and rear plate. I guess they didn't bother to buy a genuine gasket to put in it.
  11. Kpr, you might be right actually, there 3 small bolts are for holding front water pump plate to the rear water pump plate. 3 big ones are to the engine.
  12. Couldn't afford two cars/ silver is in MUCH better condition. Yep, When I took/checked it, it was loose. but I wouldn't say it was loose before, I had good few weeks driving in it so. I acutally don't know what's going on here. KPR: Yes, The mid cam cover is off, There are 3 small/short, 3 big/long bolts holding the water pump. I have took them all off, The water pump is sealed/gasketed to a plate/mount. and the bit between the plate and the engine is where is leaked. Have a look tomorrow + manual. see what I can do. Sucks only own one car! can't go anywhere now.
  13. Would be surprised if it was the water pump itself, because it just got new cambelt and water pump before it sold to me. Now I am bit worried whether or not it actually did replace both of them or properly replaced. The Panda is gone for good Valiant. within 48 hrs felixx
  14. not that much worried to be honest. It still runs well when it cooled down, can't really see smoke or anything. The water pump was loose as I Could move it a bit with my hands, water pouring down from the Plate between the water pump and the engine. I took 6 bolts off from the water pump. but I can't take the water pump out. any suggestions? i will check the manual.
  15. Got Blown engine today. Water Pump Pretty much just dumped all the Coolant, don't know what caused it. Temperature was only 70% of the gauage far from the red, but again don't know how accurate it was. the car engine revs up and down when was hot at idel, and most annoyly it BLEW White or BLUE Smokes. I probably drove the car around 5-10mins after I felt not right, but as I mentioned the Temperature gauge was far from red. Anyone know what Caused the smokes? and Would there be any engine damage ?
  16. Ok, The Front sway bar is completely In. But the TRD sway bar might be little bit like 1cm to the right. because I tight up the Right Bush first and Left Bush Last. and the trd sway bars seems to be very tight in distance. Would this be a Problem?
  17. Lol Did the panda '86 sell Andy? Would have loved to have bought that (if I had less cars/more coin. damn nissans...) BTW, Can you please 'un-non-authorise' me from the build thread? all i did was point out some irony, I genuinely am interested in the vehicle/s.. The thread it here. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=32712 Panda is gone within 48 hours of auction, First guy saw it bought it.
  18. Right, I thought would be easier haha, there is a Cap/cover with 2-3 bolts with a thick wire going into it. I was thinking that's the one.
  19. Never done that before but will take a look the manual first. Drain the fuel out, maybe take the fuel tank out, then start from there no?
  20. Thank you Spencer, Yep, will sort the speedo at some stage I guess. Probably will fix the sender myself drain the fuel out etc.
  21. Right: Few annoy bits not that worried but want to get them sorted sometime: Speedo seems to be 7-10kms Higher reading than the actual Speed. Could it because I changed the The whole rear end? My rear end is supposed to/or maybe have 4.7778 final drive. Does the speedo read from the Gear box? How Do I adjust it to normal? Also, When I fill up the petrol tank, the Fuel Gauge has mind of it's own. It goes all over the places, from more than 1/2 way to dead zero. but after I drive 100kms, it seems to be just above 1/2 tank. Some sensor in the fuel tank faulty?
  22. I can ship it for you if you want, sometime next week when I am on that way tho. but are you sure you can't get them from chch for say 20 dollar more? edit miss read the "manaku" I thought it is Manukau.
  23. Dell, I have actually found the Receipt of the Pair of Bride Vios III Sport. Purchased from: http://www.fortyone.co.nz $2470 Inculding Shipping From Japan. Fuck, I don't know If I want to sell The GENUINE Pair But Pm me if you are serious, I will think about it. Edit: There are seat bracket on the seats with Multiple holes for any seat rail. The seats were straight bolt on to 86 factory rail, No Mods.
  24. you can have it any time if you want, Don't think I would ever put it on the silver grandfather, way too low. The springs are just old but good condition and uncut. 4.7kg for the rear. was going to keep it if I get an ae85 as a beater.
  25. as I mentioned in the building thread, would like to keep this car as factory as possible, so prefer Toyota Performance products rather than After market ones. This car isn't in a hurry for anything, long long term mods/restoration project. so Take it nice and Slow.
