Also, The FRS is the lightest of them all except Japanese RC version I think.

looks way better with black bumper. Get the bottom of the sills painted black aswel. and the black plastic trim for the sides
don't like the look of these things all colour coded. Mine had the bumpers and shit painted blue and it looked gayyyyy.
yeh that's something I must do, probably not for a while tho , It's not only the bottom of the sill, it's the bottom of the front guards as well.
Despite the can paint, The side trim is the best spray job I have ever done. looks new, Also I am very surprised It also matches up the front bumper plastic colour.
Next step suspensions.

very nice interior man. it's funny Door cards and rear seat cards are different to Jap imports
So want your seats and other tidy bits.
-
god, that wheel arch is porn man.
Have you checked it with CFX or similar fluid mechanics package?
It might make lifting force rather than down force.
-
OH boy~!
My dream car man.

so while putting the bumper on, I mise just take the guards out to check the rust etc. mainly clean the Dirt and Leafs at bottom of the guards. and also surface rust killed primed up the door hinges.
While Everything Looks super clean, There are some surface rust at the draining exit area. The reason for this mainly is because of shit design. There are three lays of metal and it is sealed with these factory sealant.
So,bent the last layer slightly, Sand, rust kill primer, Epoxy enamel paint.
The other side I probably pushed bit too hard, found a small hole from a sealant came off. looks very factory, so the sealant covered up a hole from factory?
Anyway, again sand, rust kill primer, epoxy enamel paint then sealed it with urethane.
Also, sanded the bottom of the front wheel arch to check rust, found only steel. so that's good sign.
Fish oiled the bottom of two guards ,and Put everything back. the new bumper looks shit? or I need to get used to it.

if it's 14b or above, that thing could worth a bit money, given it's mint condition.
sell to these truck repair places.

I thought you could get new ones from Toyota?
Toyota NZ thought they could get them from Japan for 300, but in fact was discontinued.
I even paid all the cash up front but there is nothing they could do.

Man your are persistent, I've got a good one, it's on the car in storage, will take some photos when I'm there next time.
Oh fuck yeh thanks man!
BTW, I asked the dude at tama autos, he wants 40-50 for your side mirror.

Oh, FUck it!
Paint the current ones with Can to black.
Will keep hunting the rear newish condition ones on trademe, yahoo.
-
Cool.
I thought you were using the brake fluid to strip the paint rather then recondition it.
-
actually I can get a mint one with panda colour, would need to pay fair bit for it.
but then you sure the brake fluid would work?
-
oh balls, oh well, might have to get the rear resprayed to the new front colour. FML.
-
Bubble goose, I have called few places about the heat gun treatment to bring the colour out.
They told me they would fade sometime later.
Do you know how long would they normally last?

It's so funny how Top Gear always do their review last and turns out to be the best.

Tightened up all the exhaust bolt, still have start up tapping noise. it does seems go away few seconds or warm up later.
Overall the engine is bit noisy compare to new modern engine due to the exhaust manifold mod?. but then it isn't as noisy as the last Megasquirt bluetop.
Yours might be a quiet VVT knock fliboi. It'll be going away once the oil warms up and expands.Andy, your tap is quite likely "start up knock", which is really common in old 4AGE's. It's just the bottom end bearings saying hello before they get oil pressure. What grade of oil do you run? Go for a 15 40 and see what happens.
Currently running 10-40, ok next oil change would be 15 40.

I thought 20v injectors are very robust.
the blue top ones are bit noise. I don't know but doesn't sound like them. will get screwdriver attach to my ears to hear the noise.
-
Nah, changed it 1 month ago, I always change them every 6 month and hardly drive these oldschool cars tbh.

From the engine, or some part of the engine.
