There's a camp I am involved in over Easter. At this stage they have permission for 3 cars to come and use their burnout pad. It's all OSH approved. It will take place at Mystery Creek, Hamilton on Sat 3rd April probably in the afternoon sometime. That's this sat!!! The camp is expecting 3500 high school aged kids. First three people who are keen can come and smoke up their tires.

Unfortunately didnt make it to Beach Hop with the Cortina. Only just wasnt ready for it. All ford day in aucks is in 2 weeks. Will be at that. Oooops keys locked in boot...Lucky there's a hole for the speakers in the rear parcel tray! Wooooah look at those extractors! Electrics working Stripes make a car fast!

He what?? Lol to cut a long story short.....he bailed on his mountain bike then had an ambulance ride to hospital and ended up on laughing gas having his nose put back into place and 14 stitches in his face.

Back in Rotaz for the weekend to find Dad did in fact manage to do some work on it while I was away. Starting to look like a car again now. Front windscreen went in but the guy didnt do it properly so car has to go back on monday for refit. I do not recommend Horipito Motors!! They take a lot of phone calls to get their a into g before they send what you're after...In my case...Door rubbers! Beach Hop rego came in mail today!!!!

Well, Im now living in Hamilton, Cortina is in my garage in Rotorua, my Dad just broke his face.....may be slow putting it together now.... BTW paint job is beautiful and car is straight as! Still got till March 25th to have it on the road for Beach Hop

PAINTED TODAY!!!!! Black paint across back panel tomorrow and wheels tomorrow too. Buff tomorrow and hopefully home tomorrow without dad to even here to see it as he's gone off to Americarna. Photo sucks but will get better ones when I am not limited with taking them in a small booth

Polished and taped up ready for painting. The poll chose the colour Spoke to painter yesterday and he was hoping to have it painted by today. Lets hope he stays on track. Wont be ready for nats this weekend though.

Totally jazzed. We chose the best painter in Rotorua so one would hope the paint job would rock the sox off anyone who even glimped at it. Pretty sure the Rocker cover says 'Develo'. I wasnt a fan of the wheel colour when I first got it but I think just cause it was different for me. I hadnt seen it done before. It grew on me fast as though so gonna be same colour again. I might chuck the old Rostyles on it one day....Or maybe not. Im a fan of the...are they called minilights? Yowzer your time to shine will come

Inside of doors, bonnet and bootlid painted today. Looking nice and Shiney Staying in the booth for the weekend. Wheels went in to be spun to have kurbing taken out today. Painter has a machine for me to polish them on on Monday. Then will be masking them off ready to be repainted with rest of the car.
