I will be in central Auckland on Saturday for a wedding, and maybe on the shore later that evening for a BBQ/geek meet. I could grab it from Cam if he promises to either tranquilise his dog or tie it up while I'm there, or deliver through 1 inch slot of open car window
Otherwise sending it would be fine if you don't mind the expense. Probably wont be out west for a little while, though.
Thanks!

Can anyone who is coming to this donate to me/my truck/the FreeEMS project two USB A-B cables and/or one usb mini pcb mount socket? Pretty please! If not coming, eastern suburbs and wanting to checkout the ute near howick is fine too

Boards arrived!
-
Who said anything about ME doing it? I was just speculating
-
No black circuit boards, no black stripes, such a downer, Ned!
-
Do you think promising burnouts is a way to make more or less people show up?
-
Intake manifold mods today, running again tomorrow barring unforseen fuckups, hooray
-
Maybe because thursday is a general purpose OTP night and other stuff might be booked?
-
Ahh, OK, well, I don't want any money, and Marcos will be ready for it in a few days or weeks, I presume. Thanks for posting here. Disregard half of the PM that I just sent.

f1erce, are you a JAFA, and if so, do you want yours in with mine, and if so, post in this thread and prepare to pay:
http://forum.diyefi.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1017
I want mine shipping soon so if you're up here let me know ASAP. If you're down the line, you can get it when you're ready (but soonish for Marcos' sake) and it can ship individually to you. Note, if you want a bare board, you need a BDM to load the code onto it once assembled.

been to 5 or 6... Even been to one you were at
I take it that that was before I met you at your work? Hopefully we can cross paths this time too!
-
Is it just me or was it normally 3rd tuesday of the month?
Have you ever been? (genuine question)

Yo back!
Ute should have an engine back in the bay some time tonight, so a ute appearance with new short stroke 1.8 setup and maybe fancy seats/gauges could be on the cards. I can't promise as I may start it up and have it fall apart/leak/explode/etc.
Subscribing to this so that I gt emails the day of the event and can't forget...

Shit, well and truly missed that, not sure what I was even doing. Feb might be the last one, might have to bring the ute to that one and do a 4 cylinder skid instead of a lousy 3 cylinder one.

A Spin 1 Puma partly assembled and reading the crank wheel correctly on a vehicle with 60-2 VR setup.
Well done Marcos!

Thanks Ned!
The board has some issues, but hopefully all are minor enough to allow it to be used for a first pass software test bed.
Oh, and I ran a fork of my code in an MS2 box tonight. It's not doing quite what I want yet, but soon there will be a pure and quality choice of firmware for MS2 also. Yay for free software

In other news, it fcuking works!

The first running Puma board in Argentina with Marcos!
Marcos is the man that designed it.
First time FreeEMS runs in South America.
First time FreeEMS runs on custom hardware.
It was a good night, so I drank half a bottle of nice ozzy red.

Not my decision! I did look at it and think that though
Still, his aim was for a final test including all the solder masks and writing and the works. He's successfully repaired the two faults found and will be testing the first one tomorrow. First one in South America to run the code, and first code run on specific hardware

Just incase you wanted to know what you missed out on this time around the block:

Spin 2 will be available with some fixes after this one has had thorough testing.

Subscription thread working mint, should be there again, maybe i'll shout myself a burger instead of spraying baked beans everywhere and nearly blowing up a butane cooker LOL.

Two dead Mazdas in one garage, both slow (stationary), I wonder which will be faster in 2 weeks time? Mine has an ECU and no engine. Yours has an engine and no ECU. Gissa race? Rolling start (so I have traction and your gearbox holds together!) straight line (because the ute doesn't like going around corners (without over or understeer) at the moment...).

Good job Fred , keep us non hardcore noobs updated on how you get along with them.
No problem, there is a BIG update coming to that other thread soonish, hopefully.
-
f1erce I put your name down for one, total of 37, and it's closed now. Please sign up and post in the thread so Marcos can contact you directly. Cheers!

Post in the thread on diyefi.org, and you're good. Pay later. You have about 12 - 24 hours now. I'm about to send a bulk email to forum members that I would expect to be interested, high posters, old members, etc. The more testing/feedback the better. At 5 bucks plus hassles/time/postage, its gotta be worth TRYING to make a go of it, doesn't it?
