I've read the posts on what is and isnt oldschool, and its apparent that there is little agreement on that, so i thought i'd post this thread and see if anyone wants to have a nosey at my project.
i have a 54 oval beetle awaiting a complete build up into something fast
a 61 beetle awaiting restoration to original condition (was my grans from new)
a 92 manual black R32 2 door with the gtst kit on it that has suspension lsd and brake mods.
according to those threads, the bugs arent oldschool because they arent from the 70's i'd say they are. i'd say the skyline is very far from oldschool and was pretty modern at the time. id agree with that.
and a mystery vehicle :
1989, but ran from 86 to 93 in this shape, and previously (though quite differently) from 78 - 86
no aircon
no power steer
no electric windows
no power locks
heater works
no radio at all
bench seat
rwd
leaf sprung rear
came carbed
had no tacho
not modern styling
i realise its not true old school, but its old, and its kinda oldschool to me. its certainly not modern.
its also heavily modified, no longer single cam, no longer carbed, has a tacho.
if you are interested in having a nosey i could post a project thread in that section.
if you recognise this project, and i'm certain a few people on here already know about it. keep quiet in the mean time!! no clues
will introduce myself properly after this has been sorted
i like pretty much anything rwd from beetles to exotics. just has to look the part and have potential. i'm keen to pick up a kp61 or kp62 at some point also.
mods, it would be nice if you didnt delete this thread. just trying to have a little fun with it. hope you understand.
