Got her running. Sort of. Managed to get up my street, just. Blowing a bit of blue, guess she's going to need new rings as thought. I'll order the kit tomorrow. Might end up getting a bike shop to put the piston/rings in once I have the motor out as I don't have the tools here and it's probably better to get that bit done proper like. Put new 'zaust on and it's much quiter now also goes forwards.

will probably be slightly buckeld, mine has a slight tweak in it. dave/brock lee has a few rims he might be willing to part with if yours is well bent. im tempted to buy a piston kit and semi re-build my engine, but itl cost me nearly what i paid for the thing so yeh....kinda defeats the purpose of a cheap scoot haha

I don't think it's buckled. Prob just needs a tighten. Piston kit and gasket kit is like $60? Paid $150 for the bike. Happy to spend a wee bit on it if I can keep it going till the end of time plus it's just so easy to pull apart.

Yeah might drop it down to a bike shop and get em to do it. Although i'm guessing you just use a tiny spanner to tighten the part of the spoke that connects to the rim?

Yeah. Dude I got it form said a "shop" had a look and though the rings might be going. Which is possible, but I would have expected it to be using heaps of oil and blowing shitloads of smoke. Which it doesn't.

Guessing it's fuel. Fucking pipe better show up so I can breath some two stroke in.

Also, got a bit of wobble on the back wheel. Guessing this is because the spokes are loose? I'm going to try to tighten the main nut holding the wheel on. Unkeen to go too fast on this thing. My harro's frame looks stronger tbh

Right. Got this bitch home and put some gas in it. Started first kick and felt like it had ok compression. Hard to tell by kicking it though I guess. Old pipe had a big section cut out, not sure why. Think they though the pipe was blocked or something. Was noisy as fuck Have ordered a new (old, re-welded) pipe so that should be here tomorrow.

It seemed to bog down when I gave it gas. I would have though that would point toward a fueling issue? Seemed to rev ok if you built the gas on. Didn't ride it though...

So I'll prob pull the carb off and give it a clean out.

Anyway, once I sort out the bogging issue, what can I do to get some more "power" out of this thing? I need it to get me up the steep part of the hill. Could be dreaming though. Cheap mods : go!
