Who flipped the rims for you dude? Loving what you are doing to this ute, showed my old man and he is keen to do something similar to his crappy work ute.
-
So how did this go?
-
where exactly is this cool mirror wall?
Just up from Spot-X, you get to it off Ward St
-
Orrr.. parked next to that mean mirror wall down that dodgy alley way. Im doing that when i get the morry back
Remember driving down those ways when had my crappy VL, even made that paint job look cool

Doubt 14's will fit over 190e's brakes? they are 15's standard.
Yeah good point there, should just concentrate on the Rat Rod but far too impatient and want to change the merc or flick it off.
Might just have a play at beating the gaurds out for a bit of fun.
-
Thats tiny on a 190e.
I had mine de sprung on 17x8's and it on scraped under hardish turning at the front.
Yeah I currently have 17x8s on it at the moment, and i could bring it down maybe another inch and a half in the back. But if I wanted to take it down any further in the front I would have to beat out the guards. And that is something I dont really feel like doing.

Yo, there is a speciallised merc (old and new) nmechanic/wrecker here in napier, you could give them a ring and see if they have anything you mite be interested in. 06 835 7466 "Advanced tech auto works"
Yeah I got a merc wrecker just up the road and thats what they had on offer.
I could always just do this, what do ya think? (excuse the rushed MSpaint skills)

6 x 13's rule! Oh wait, what's this for???
Its for my shitty '85 190E

These are my steel rim options I have available to me, can get them for $40 a rim in steel or $50 a rim in alloy.
This just doesnt seem wide enough
So if I was wanting as little wall as possible on them, what tyre specs would you suggest?
-
Fuck if it wasnt in Auckland then I would be keen as, I feel like I slowly die everytime I get near the place with the shit drivers they have up there.

Ok at my hot rod meeting last night I organised to pick up the body that hasnt been at home in a few years. Hope it hasnt gotten worse
Also picture of the drag car at Meremere

Um when I get my slack ass together I will take some photos of all the parts I currently have for the rat rod, got everything to make it a rolling chassis but yeah I am slack.
Will just be running a nice little 350 chev motor with a powerglide with a bit of luck. Want to run a manual box but just dont think there is going to be enough room for a manual pedal box with my big feet
-
Yes the 38 is a lovely cab, but its full of disease and might be a little hard to fix. It is always talked about at home though, since we have the bonnet and nose cone for it also.
Paint job is done by my brother, he is just about to finish his car painting apprentaship.

As she is before she got sign written and upholstered
Minus body and rear wheels

Ok so this summer I am finally going to start my project, had to wait till the 23 Alterd Drag Car was built and wouldnt you know it that is done and has its first go down the strip this weekend.
Ok this thing is going to be built on the cheap, but not making any compromise on safety of course
Will be running a Ford rear end, a chassis that was built back in the 80s to house TWO engines (I will only be running one). I have a body that needs a fair bit of work to get to painting stage, and nearly everything to get it rolling.
Only things really to buy are engine and trans, all the electrical stuff and steering coloum.
So I know there is going to be a nice member out there that is going to let me know how to get pictures up here when they are taken too. But for now I have some pictures of the newly built drag car if anyone wants to see that

Yeah im trying to sell it and thought it would be pretty easy to get rid of since Im asking piss all for it, think I might have to go do some "laps" in it and get some attention
-
Think I might have some steel rims sitting around for her, anyone recommend where to get them widen in the Waikato area?
-
O yeah for sure, its for sale on those 17s. Went through the stage of wanting something "different" just like everyone else
And now I know where my loyalties lie, and its not in the merc thats for real.
Also will get some pics up of the rat rod when I can, just shy of being a rolling body at the moment.
-
Yeah Im not really looking at spending a whole lot of cash on her, because I am building a 1923 Ford RatRod so thats where most of the cash is spent. Would rather sell her and get a mid 70s hillman to play with, but if she doesnt sell then I just have to work with what I got.
-
Ok guys I have my 85 190e up for sale, but if I cant get what I want for it I am thinking of making her look alot more old school. She currently has 17 inch chromes on her and will get rid of those.
So my question is really, what can I do to her to make her look alot more old school?
I have pictures but being the n00b I am, I cant figure out how to get them on here

Do they require certification for having them flipped like that?
