My old mans 1956 Belair is pillarless, but I wouldn't say even then it was a new idea.
Saw a 1914 Model T on a trailer (fully restored) last night that was pillarless. Now that is oldschool!

Man what a time for this thread to pop up. Failed a WOF last night for a leaking steering gear box (190e).
Is that Max life power steering fluid ok? I hadnt changed the fluid for almost 6 years, it was about time it had a change anyways.

Where do you find all of these Gemini's Jase?
P.S. lets see that silver wagon on the road already

Tether straps aren't a requirement in NZ, but when it comes to the safety of your kids is it really that big a deal making a small hole for the anchor point?
I don't think so.

There was an article floating around about a little girl nearly 2 involved in a mild car crash. She was in a forward facing seat and she got pretty messed up. Her internal organs took a battering. The arguement was that if she was still in a rear facing seat she would have sustained less injuries. I dont know how accurate that is, but does give you something to think about.
My little girl is 15 months and not even 11kgs, but she will be in a rear facing seat until she reaches the weight limit/gets too tall and needs to stretch her legs out. I believe the weight limit for rear facing on our seat is 14kgs, so got a little while to go.

This thing looks very nice. If you were to do anything else to the look of the car, I say invest in a set of venetian blinds and that be it.

Bout time one of these made its way on here, I will also be watching with interest.

Needs more door handles and stripes to be in the middle, but I also dig this car.

The bronze/brown that BMW have in their new line up is tits. But I think its the new enviro friendly paint, finding a similar colour shouldnt be hard though.

Nothing to say you cant just build your own chassis, it is what has been done with my build.
You find the body you want and then design the chassis round that. I am also not a huge fan of going the ute chassis way, but that is just personal choice.
Also you will be amazed at the stuff you dont need to have on your vehicle if you build from scratch. If you are worried about having to have windscreen wipers, then the easiest thing to do is dont have a windscreen but have a wind deflector

Plenty of hot rod clubs up in Auckland, but being Summer alot like to spend their weekends cruising.
Take a look at the list of clubs in Zone 2, they should all have their details to get in touch with them.
Edit: the website might have helped

^ trucks a bit random.
Id love to see what a modern falcon and comodore would look like if some one build them to group C specs.
I know its not quite Group C, but it aint bad in my eyes.

A 1985 Honda Prelude
Got it from the Repo man for $200 in 2000.
Let my mate drive it into town through the back roads. He ended up rolling it several times but came out with just a few scratches.
Owned it for less then 6 months. Was gutted.

Something really needs to be done about your number plate/roof/paint/taste.
wah wah wah. Why rag on someones taste? If you don't like what someone's doing to their car, why not buy it off them and do it how you want it done.
Only thing that has to be done about it is that you (and all the other haters) need to deal with it.
Lol clearly missed that is was just an "expected" response. Was mearly tounge in cheek.
Lost over the interweb though I know.

You mean pick them up from my place or me pick them up in Tirau?
If you mean from my place, then no problem. Just means I need to skip out of work early (what a shame).
I can probably go collect all this stuff from Tirau on Saturday, let me know details in a PM and consider it sorted.

What size motor Chris?
Tirau is also only 10 minutes up the road for me.
Can use my fathers ute and store it at my place if you like.
Products that work........
