http://www.elitewheelcompany.co.nz/ got these made up to 8.5" not really cheap TBH, but they did a good job. If i was to do it again would source correct size from japan

manage to do some more guard pulling tonight went from fully rubbing to none at all a good 10mm with one of those rollers and guards are still intact!
-
Used a hub roller on my datsun 1600 in the weekend worked perfectly.. DO NOT use on a car with bog filled guards
-
also my 73 datsun 1600 back to a 70..
-
Hah, I might put the 185/60's on the 30 tonight and take a photo of it with it's suspension at it's current factory (almost) height. It's a bit of a laugh, I'll take some measurements too, of the sills/chassis and then the gap between the tyre and the arch. I have a feeling the arch gap will be greater than the slam gap.
Your welcome to try on these spare 195/45/14's for size if you want
-
Cheap! (ish)
I think that might be my port of call for the 30 coupe. Cheers for the headsup man.
That was discount tyres on clyde stree if that helps you. But im sure most places can get them,
-
well my price was 190 each which i think its resonable considering i was going to have pay 300 each from japan landed
-
Good news guys 225/40/14 is now stocked by toyo nz in there T1R range, Really good price to so thats me sorted.
-
try avoid buying the toyo's on indent. likely be 6month+ wait. mine took about a year (195/55r14.) but it was around the time of the tsunami. by that time i changed my mind. so still have 6 of them sitting in the shed.
Yea figured that, Price isnt to bad off ewen around 300ech landed. But they wont be here till the next container which is months away. Im off to aussie to live at the end of the year. So may just have to run the 195's for awhile
-
Have flicked CPA an email so hopefully they can help me out.
Cheers dude

OK, maybe not 225/40 but 225/50. Kumho do one, obviously Toyo do one. I think I found a Nitto one at some stage previous also.
Not semi slicks are they? That popped up quite alot in my searching
-
Yeap been into a few and got laughed at hahah.. Toyo do a T1R in 225 40 14 But im not sure how available they are, Im chasing these up on monday but apart from them i dont think there is any other options

stay away from elite at all costs, biggest bunch of wankers iv ever had to try and deal with.
Care to elaborate? as above ive just got some wheels sent up there :S
-
elite wheels get barrels made in america for 3p wheels, I have a pair at the moment going from 6.5 to 8.5 getting made costing me an arm and a leg
-
If anybody was after the falken tyre sheets which states you can use a 195/45/14 on an 8" rim here is the links
-
we should organise a cruise at some stage
-
there is a brand, falkens I think, that according to their specs, are fine for a 8". That way it's nice and legal for wof time.
This i have a set sitting in my garage the spec sheet stats fine for 8" rim, Im going to put them on 8.5" rims anyway
