Cheers guys. Keen to try someone besides Ewan. Have used him last couple years and he used to be good. Now he's plain useless. Unreplied emails and missed bids.... right now anyone but him.
Looking at various things like engines, rims and and smaller buts also.

Cheers guys. Odd car to pinch I must say as mentioned Ferrari designed motor which is different from 308 motor of the time. Yip Ducati assembled it for fiat.
-
As above. A Lancia thema with Ferrari engine. No plates as not complied here in NZ yet. Here's hoping but long stretch I know.
-
oh of course Left hand drive biggest give away!
-
Good point.... waiting to hear plate details but pinched from north shore workshop...... not sure when tho.
Only one in NZ that colour so will be hard to hide.

You know it makes sense!

Cool thanks for the advice.
Not many have seen many modded fiats nevermind tipos

Thanks for the prompt reply and help....
Buckles were attached to the seat(spotwelded) as oppossed to runner. It is a fiat tipo
My thoughts were fold up a bracket and weld correct size nut to it and either weld this or bolt this to runner.
Current set-up is 6mm plate with thread hole and nut to top as adapter.(m8 car screws through runner into this) and m6 cap screws through adapter into seat. So have around 14mm gap i can make bracket fit into.

Question regarding seatbelts:
Have replaced standard seats with recaros. The problem is standard seats had seatbelt buckles attached. What is the best way forward? Have used factory runners with adapter plate. Would like ends to stay with seat as opposed to floor mounted.
Cheers

Great thread...some questions:
Have done engine swap from 2l to 2l turbo. The same engine but with one having turbo hanging off the front. Excatly same brakes, hubs, rack is shared.
What do i have to do to get cert? Do i need to supply build details between the two cars (donor, project car) If i get it checked before may 1st and have to do something on it which takes me over may 1st date, does the recheck mean the cat issue come into it?
Thanks greatly.

ladaspeed...i guess Brians grale? Cool car. Enjoy trackday tomorrow.
Yes it was the red one that he sold prior to getting the grey one. Joe had fitted a blow off valve which was kind of amusing as boys/bogans necks would swivel around when they heard it then they would be 'huh?'
Gagging for track day, got a race seat and harness + a few more horses than last year.....
oh the 8v...such a mint car. Nick had it for a day wheni was down once. Typical Joe! I have driven that thema he owns...that thing is scary quick!....so 100 extra hp?
-
Cheers Guys. Yip 16v, which is cool as has the rear wheel bias on the 4wd system.
Testament has seen it as i crusied passed taupo as had to ring him to let him have a nosey.
Haha yeah needs welding...but bugger all and being sheetmetal worker has it advantages
Motor will need a rebuild....and that's going to cost.
ladaspeed...i guess Brians grale? Cool car. Enjoy trackday tomorrow.

Ok new project. 1990(probably) Lancia delta. For those who don't know these... 6 time wrc champion the late eighties/early nineties. 4wd 2litre....plenty of work to do on it. Will make a race car from it as unrego'd.
Some pics of me hauling it home:
Very solid for an old girl from italy....need to do some welding though.

Nice buy Vai man. Thermostat from 128 engine no good. You need thermostat from 130tc/105tc engine. Mal at fiatparts.co.nz is your man for them. Tell him Tel sent ya and he will look after you.
Brakes: 105tc runs different hubs from 130tc...which actually helps you. Punto gt brakes do fit with 6mm or 6.5mm spacer i seem to recall....those brake from punto gt are hard to get tho.
Steering rack: First thing i would do is jack the car up and check play in rack. Lat time i drove it it was bloody hairy. So i gave the guy a spare 105tc rack. Don't know if he ever put it on.
Also check rhs front guard position, it had a bent rod between guard and inner guard so guard sat oddly. Again i gave him straight one...don't know if that ever made it on car either.
Besides that can't think of anything else i can help with but sing out if you're after help.
Cheers Terry

Do it. As a daily can't be beat at that price, single overhead cam = simple motor. Plenty here in NZ for parts and worth bugger all!
Compare it to a toyo of same age/milage and save the 2k diff and buy yourself an ice-cream.
Have had three of the 1.6. The only thing to look for is the carb spacer is plastic/rubber and splits over time. Easy easy fix though.
Good luck.

Good buy Vai-man.
Any questions about the car sing out. I know the last four owners (me being one)
Really solid 105tc and if you're really keen on brake upgrade txt me on 021 186 2773 there is a perfect donor at pickapart at the moment.
If you think 105tc is fun...wait to you drive a 130tc
