  1. Thanks for that.

My home is the issue in everything you said.

    1. old suburb meaning storm water & sewerage somewhat the same thing!
    2. Old house means its colder inside that out (freezing)
    3. Old house means wooden floors so no B-outs on carpet.

Will bring in tomorrow and remove radiator again and cover the inlets & outlets. I've already drained the entire system.

    Thanks.

  2. Hi everyone,

Some real general Bike chat that hope makes the grade.

I'm diving in replacing the cambelts on my old Gold Wing.

Doing it the modern way with a laptop reading all the old boys How-To write ups.

I've come across the belt tensioners. The How-to's say if there is any play in the tension pulleys, then replace.

There is sideway play in one, enough for me to want to replace.

However being water cooled I've needed to remove the radiator, therefore drain the coolant. Then once I found I needed more parts, I hastily put the radiator back on to seal the cooling system albeit without any anti-freeze/water.

I will now need to wait for the parts to arrive.

Because I have no garage, I'm gonna bring it in the house much to the disapproval of everyone else!

Here in lys my question: I would like to remove the radiator again so I have space to work on the cambelts and let it sit inside until the parts arrive. Is it ok to have the block empty of coolant/antifreeze? I am more assuming I should seal the inlet/outlets up, but what is the best way to do so.

Thanks for you help and I've attached some really average photos because these topics are boring without them.

    Thanks.

  3. Has anyone got a tool box i could borrow on the 7th of November in the Wellington area. I know lending your babies is a hard thing to accept but im in a bit of a pickle. I'm arriving in wellington to pick up my new car. Im also gonna buy an old bedford motor but dont want it all so the guy has said im free to come and attack it and take what i want and he'll dump the rest though i wont have anytools. Beer/bourbon (for the hard cunts) will be provided as well as a hand shake and most likely a yarn too. I promise to be very careful and grateful. Shit if your not doing anything more than welcome to come along and see a bedford motor come to the forces of man kind. Thanks.

Edit: I think its over Porirua way.

  4. Could you not modify it at all and just flip it over???? put the hitch on the underside of where its mounted now and just fit the thing over, will look exactly like the one being dragged by beema provided the top of your tyre is higher than the base of the trailer. would make sence to do this if thats all it takes??? and then just make sides for the underside of the trailer base when up....down...... when its...... get it?

Edit: shit unless i have been under a rock and this is actually the way your intending on doing it. My apologies

  5. Thats the problem, this is new zealand and there is a serious lack of commodores on here haha. Most have been FTP RB'd and end up being poos. Old mans mate picking it up wednesday or something to be left until my royal arrival to take her home, cant wait.

Sweet whip man. Change nothing but rims and ride height.

haha yeah bro im picking this to be my joke of the holiday(vacation). Thats what im thinking its nice enough to be choice with just slight rim altering and 5LaMm3D. Pretty chuffed with it, cant wait to see it in the flesh haha

  8. yeah man cheers hopefully shes a little pearl. Just keen on the blue interior and square gauges haha

If you talking about your wagon in your signiture looks tops. Where do you find those 5x108 steels, im complete newb and finding hard-to-find wheels.
