  1. I still see the option of a full Chevette conversion to be the best and most rewarding transplant.

Mooorange is choice as-is, personally i wouldn't even bother with the mechanical side of it. Just service it and keep the engine original. Mean cruiser stz.

However, loose those wheels. Stick the original steelies back on,make sure you use tyres with a white sidewall and Drop It Like It's Hot!!

  2. I've owned two, old mans owned about the same. Brother even used to roll in one. None have ever blown a headgasket, and all flew though warrants.

Awesome cars, are strong engine& drivetrain wise. One of the most solid cars exterior wise aswell. Easy to work on, drive nice for a four speed.

3k is far to much, i'd pay 2k easy for a mint one however :D

Nothing major to look out for when buying one, just the basics.

  3. Wow, mean list. What a slutty car

Damn good effort to get it to the Nationals man, hopefully you didn't have to sacrifice too much stuff along the way. Would've been mean to hear it's first start up.

I think an OTP is in order to celebrate / have a OTP anyway

You know I like the car, but yeah. Awesome.

  4. ps: awesome roof rack mounts!

Yeah, lets not fool around. They're the best part of the car

Holla' if you want them returned/ cash deposited.

Your next paint scheme should be matty poo brown, with a beige two tone/massive pin strip down the side. Fuck that would look cool.

Nah man, that's terrible. Creamy goodness will stay for awhile, that way mounts and fabrication work won't damage new paint..........

The visor rules. It's not going to work as it is though, to wide.

Do one of you chevette guru's know how the fuel flap mounts up??

  5. Just remember, if your doing a home job, it aint ever gonna be like a professional job done with massive compressors/in a oven/expensive guns/painted by a pro who does it for a living etc...

And that is where the price associated with automotive re-painting comes into things,we need to make a profit out of it too remember

id reccommend a gun like i have if your on a budget, the brand is "wellmade" and cost me a $100 or there abouts, its suction fed one.

There a pretty good gun for the $$, my old boss/mate has one he reckons there a copy of a DeVilbiss

Too true man, all of Wellmade's tools come recommended. I wouldn't directly compare them to DeVilbiss though, DeVilbiss is on it's own level.

Mods: Can the "Paint Thread" please be sticky'd, it seems threads like this pop up to often.
