not sure what i have at the wheels but it wont be alot
-
1600kgs / 138 hp = 1/11.59
plus its packing a slippery three speed auto
-
ahh thats makes sense
no point in running a big intercooler unless youve got alot of boost, unless you like lag
-
$1000 for an intercooler?
evo 3 standard front mount or something like that would save you abit of money. wont look as nice tho i suppose
edit: or be as big or efficient
-
white can be a pain in the ass to keep clean
are you doing all the panel/ engine work yourself?
is primer waterproof? so if your car got wet atm would it get any surface rust?
-
mean car
i reckon mark 2's look better with flares that arent moulded to the body but with the rivets smoothed over if you know what i mean
-
Looking good man. Get some round lights.
looks pretty straight too
-
cheers for the info
hes in two minds over whether to get it or not now, cause some stupid old man at mitsubishi told him to stay away from old cars
-
It does look like an absolutely mint example. Are you planning on doing an engine conversion or something?
not sure what hes planning at the moment but ill ask next time i talk to him
probably just sacked with chromes auu!
-
my mate is looking at buying this
what do ya reckon?
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... key=401105
so i thought id ask around and see if anybody knows
-common places for them to rust
-mechanical things to watch out for
-anything else you can think of
im not the biggest fan of these but i have to admit that it appears to be pretty mint
-
turns out it was the engine earth, hooked that up properly and she fired up first go
cheers for the help
-
it wouldnt be hard to mistake that toyota (mark II i think), on the front page for the real deal
-
Have you checked the engine earth?
.
nope, ill have to check that on wednesday. that actually seems to be the most likely reason as everything was fine a few weeks ago and i may have disconnected it
How many spade terminals are on the solenoid, and if there are multiple are you plugged onto the correct one?
.
i havent touched the solinoid yet so it shouldnt be anything like that
The other alternative is the battery could have a dead cell .
then it would start when i jumped it, wouldnt it?
chur
-
cheers guys
i just read what i posted yesterday
i cant believe i thought it was something other than the starter/ solinoid
i spent like half an hour in the rain going over the dizzy
being tired/hungover and working on cars doesnt mix
-
i've had the battery out of the car for about 3 weeks while i got a new pan and mounts sorted, caused they rusted away, but now when i've put it back in the car wont even begin to crank over
i can hear the pump in the tank ticking so thats not the problem
but i cant hear the starter motor or the solinoid
i tried to jump start the car incase the battery had lost charge but it didnt work
ive heard before that if the solinoid dies the starter wont get any power
will the starter be fucked or could it just be the solinoid?
(or something else)
is there any way to test it?
the engines the original L26 which has just clicked over 90 thousand
Any idea if its a common fault?
thanks in advance
-
I told you how it was lowered. 120y springs in front. Pretty sure its leaf at rear so probs just blocks or flipped leaves.
ok thanks i wasnt sure whether we were talking the front or back
-
Springs are out of a datsun 120y.
Dont think the springs are chopped.
hrm.... as in leaf springs at the back?
what bout the front?
mine has double wishbone at the front so i cant think hhow in would be lowered
-
looks awesome
do you know how much its been lowered by?
any more pics
-
go with ami
national auto club has two excesses doesnt it?
-
nah its rusted out where the chrome around the window, clips in
im pretty sure it isnt under the rubber
how hard is it, id rather try it myself but if its to much of a mission ill get someone to do it
-
ive got abit of rust along the bottom of my rear windscreen that would be alot easier to fix if i took the glass out
so im wondering if you can buy universal kits for sticking it back in afterwards?
-
maybe one that when the eski is under full acceleration and sum cunt keeps up with me my spinner can agressively pop out the exaust and chop up the radiator of the competition.
bro i didnt realise that push bikes had radiators...
i mean that is the only thing that would keep up with the eski under full acceleration isnt it?
