fuck thats so awesome. i reckon the wheels suit it, i wouldnt put any sort of modern rims on. although it would look even tougher with some whitewalls
you can really see where ford got their styling ques from old gloria's
-
^^he used fiberglass so he didnt weld any plates in
fuck your doors warped? thats the sort of stuff thats making me a bit wary of trying to teach myself
did you put the fiberglass on the inside of the door or the outside?
is it very hard to do? i might do that to delete my key holes
-
@ methz- oh yeah? that sucks
there was a set of mounts for an fj into a 1600 a month or so ago on trademe. An fj turbo would be mean
also i would go for a datsun 1200 over a 1600 with the price people want for them nowdays
-
you seen to have your heart set on a nissan powerplant so maybe another option is a datsun 1200 coupe/sedan with a ca or sr.
its not a bolt it but its been done enough times that you'd be able to find someone with measurements for engine and gearbox mounts.
you could also just do what others have already done it the suspension and breaking departments.
im sure you could do this for under $13k if your prepared get your hands dirty

hey kyteler and alfadog, how much different would my engine be from what yours originally was?
other than the extra 200cc obviously.
240k's are single carb right?
-
chuck up a pic of the car and one of the mags and if i get enough time ill photoshop them
-
if i was you id straight swap that guy for his modgies
i doubt youll get more for yours, there not anywhere near as popular as modgies
-
with the front bumper gone wont it make the grill stick out wierd?
unless the panel you make will stick out also
i would keep the bumpers man, theyll look good once the grill is black
-
hotwires would look ok
its ur decision tho mang,it depends on what style you want for your car..
thats what it comes down to. if your into modgies go for it
-
just shitkicks dont dig = good IMO
that thats definitely a good thing
ive always found it kinda wierd how the ms65 has alot of design 'flare' and the ms85 is such a plain looking car
if you know what i mean
-
yeah im not a huge fan of modgies, which is why i put some shit looking ones on it and didnt lower it
black mirrors would be the go i reakon
-
i guess it comes down to what sorta condition its in
i wouldnt pay more than $2000 for one that was in real good nic, unless it had really nice wheels or something
im sure you could get one a lot cheaper their not exactly sort after
-
haha the mirrors are so rangi
-
that bottom shot looks like you can see someof the bog, could just be the light
-
i reakon this looks heaps better and itll be cheaper
-
[/img]
there you go
ill do another one later on to show you what id do
-
yeah ill give it a go for you
i have terrible photoshop skills tho
-
have you thought about getting the centres of the mags youve got on now powdercoated black or dark grey? That could look good
If it was my car thats what i would do.
-
well i cant get that pic to work for some reason but heres the page
-

if he kills the rust in the doors and sprays the inside of them with something to stop, water which gets in, from sitting on the bare steel then he'll be sweet surely
but i would be careful not to fill in any drainage holes
