yeah im running electronic ignition ay well when it gets running it runs mint if i hook a seperate battery up to the coil it starts first pop thinking maybe i need a balist resistor think thats what there called they give the coil abit more of a boost on starts or something dont they?

hey well i just recently brought this msd coil for my pinto and i am haveing abit of trouble with fireing the beast up its all gud when i jumpstart the car or if the battery has been freshly recharged mite get one or 2 starts out of it but still struggles its in my mk2 escort im thinking i dont have anuf power running to it ?? any ideas on what i could do cheers

hey has anyone ever used sierra struts in a escort ?? i was told they bolt in to mk2 escorts trying to see if its worth lookin in to ?

hey guys well i thought id ask you's if you would have any idea what i could try to get my dads 1990 ea falcon to run better lattely its not been running good at all has trouble starting and when it heats up it seems to miss past 2grand no back fireing tho i thought it mite be the injectors have put 2 injector cleaners threw its running abit better but still not like it used to is there a way to take the injectors out and clean them manualy without putting anything out of place cheers guys

oh cheers for that man well i worked it out today i drilled the hole abit further down and i put t he cable like threw the bottom of the plastic bit so it dont touch the pedal so it shouldnt snap i dnt t hink tho i think ill do what you siad about the angled peace of metal eventually cheers guys

that does not seem to work :S.... it pulls the plastic bit out of the top of the pedal ?

hey guys i have converted my escort to manual and was wondering if anyone could tell me where abouts i have to run the clutch cable threw the fire wall i have a hole allready but its to high any help would be apreciated cheers

id say just stick with the drums if you ask me ive heard some pretty nasty things about people doing burnouts with rear disk's and the pad wearing right down and then putting big groves in the disk costly to replace just go bigger drums if you want better brakeing tho im no expert

yeah proberly just go worked na with a delorto for carb etc .

really some mechanic siad that it would blow holes in the pistons in acoupel hrs of use id get away with a low compression gasket wouldnt i ? if they make them that is

oh yeah thats very true ay would want to lower compression for that we might just keep it natural i think for now anyway can allways upgrade latter down the track cheers

mazda 808 pistons.from a 323 mazda are the pistons that will fit well my friend wants to turbo or supercharge his clubman with a 1300 in it and im thinking they would be a fair bit stronger than old austin ones wouldnt you think ?

yeah well ive often wonderd if parts of datsun A series motors would fit be nice if one of them alloy heads would bolt on clearly there diferent tho ill have a look around and see what i can find be handy thing to know cheaper than buying forgies etc.

yeah its really really od my exhaust has acouple bends in it as i have used od pipes for a temp thing is now im scared if i redo it in 2inch it might not have that sound

hey i just read on some random trade me auction that you can use mazda pistons on a 1300 does anyone know anything about this id think it would be a cheap upgrade compared to forgies cheers

cheers man well what i have is 4-2-1 exstractors going in to 1 and a half inch pipeing then to a straight threw muffler i have no idea what kind it is i just had it laying around no cobys on there and then it goes in to my twin 5inch tip ive got another video of the escort comeing back from the drive up the road ill put it up soon

thats interesting i wouldnt think that muffler would make such a diference ay but its still got the pinto sound which is great have you got a straight 2inch out the back of yours?

yeah its a standard 2ltr its honestly not as lould as it sounds on idle its really quite yeah the piglets might not like it tho but ill see what the cert guy says do you have exstractors on your pinto ? are they 4-2-1 or 4-1 ? that might make abit of diference and ive got that massive twin cannon on the bak that no one likes but eh it sounds gud lol all that matters to me

well i just finished the body work on the front off and primerd the car im quite happy with how its turned out tho my gun keepd spitting shit all over it so it was abit of a hassle need a gravity feed gun to get it done properly i have a video of it going down the road but i do not know how to upload that to any sites etc if anyone knows of any ill put it on there cheers.

well i just recently put a electronic dizzy in and tidyed up the engine bay the dizzy makes it run quite alot smoother now ive just got to get on to the body work
