  1. they were brand new front esslinger a kit yeah quad carbs got some pics in projects of them yeah they sounds really good just got to get them running right been told its really easy but im guessing they know what there doing or where to start
  2. hey has anyone had any exsperence with tuneing mikuni carbs any tips that might make it abit easier for me would be helpful cheers of any websites ?
  3. i used to have a corona with a 18r in it done mint burn outs and one of the pistons had a hole in it
  4. startd reconditioning the front suspension/brakes etc brought new bearings and control arms and have stripd the struts etc bak and etcher primerd them then paintd them came up really good .
  5. cheers guys that helpd heaps im putting new bearings in aswell can i just use normal grease or is there a special one the one in there was yellow. oh and yeah i broke one of em caps lol thought i could tap em off with hammer and screw driver wops
  6. i am buying new shocks they are inserts when i took the old shocks out fluid was leaking out of em is that not supostd to hapen ?
  7. hey guys im reconditioning my front struts replaceing bearings etc and replaceing my shocks is there a special way of putting in the inserts like do they have to be compressd ? and is it hydraulic fluid in there or is there a special type ? cheers
  8. yep they are just put em in the tire well with a sheild there narrow aswell which is gud bit of cutting involved but depends how far you want it to go in to the front
  9. well ive got the carbs all hooked up now found out the vacume hose's are actually a breather hose and a overflow hose no vacume hose's lol they run really well got a really nice tone to them just need to tune them now not much clearance had to unbolt the carbs from the manifold to get the airfilters on.
  10. well i got the carbs on today got them running seem to run gud only prob i have is they seem to rev the engine up slowly thinking its got something to do with the vacume lines..... any ideas .
  11. yeah im gona leave the turbo manifold for now maybe look at doing something with it in the future or use it on another car yeah they fit the carbs are tuned for a 2ltr pinto by esslinger so im told they will fit with the filters they might need abit of tweaking as far as i know they were brand new. im thinking bout trying to modify my turbo manifold to sleve on to all 4 of the carbs latter down the track any ideas ? cheers eventually ill take you for a fang lols

  15. well after my plastic fuel line decided to melt from a fuel addative i put in i decided i am gona have to upgrade to something abit more reliable some one sugested useing copper pipeing 8-10mm has anyone tryed this any ideas ? cheers

  17. would anyone be able to tell me do the 2.3ltr pinto heads fit the same sized spark plug as the normal 2.ltr heads i know its proberly the same but i dont want to buy the wrong set of iridium lX plugs as the are quite exspensive cheers

Well its been awhile since ive updated everyone on my progress ive recently purchased a turbo inlet manifold (polished alloy) and im slowly purchaseing all the plumbing going to do a carbed set up first would like to do blow threw but not sure on how i can adapt the set up i have brought to do it with might just do suck threw for starters heres some pics Ive allso purchased a set of Bf good rich tires two 13inch 215's and two 235's all have 8mm of tread hardly used . Ive allso done quite abit of tidying up in the engine bay and the front and back of the car repainted the engine bay in black and clear lackerd it came up really nice brought a msd hvc coil and new water pump two times 13inch fans new cambelt and waterpump belt put all the chrome engine parts on engine mounts,cam wheels,etc brought a kn filter. planing on buying modgies to go with the tires soon that will do for now
  19. it was just a HT lead its multy point injection runs fine now cheers for the info guys
  20. well i think i mite try replaceing some of the wireing with new thicker stuf it cranks over really dam fast so theres no problem there but everynow and then when it trys to spark the engine juders and slows right down like the timeing is out again but i didnt do that at all with the other coil :S
