  1. Rotorua-Kaikohe SH1/SH27

    Northland folk seem to drive at the speed of weed. =1/2 speed limit, careful of this go to pick up your phone and you would have almost crashed into them. Jafas can't merge and this creates half of aucklands traffic woes, the other half are cause by rubbernecks. Drive was just a hell of a long drive 16 hours return, car trailer up and extra car back down. Nice roads north of Auckland once you have worked off your 'Road rage' at about Warkworth, stupid town with one set of lights on the main road.

    Haha how far north you go? When your in the wops its a minimum of 100km everywhere.

Think i'm gonna do it the way that link on the NZPC forums says to do it, makes sense to me, might wait a few weeks 'till i get my full, then tow it out to a back road and have a midnight fang to run it in. Just gotta try not get snapped, the small as town i live in is the cop HQ for the whole region.

  3. I dont have an engine reconditioner, so kinda out of the question, don't theres too many around here, cars not road legal so cant take it out for a cruise, driveways a couple of hundred metres long so can run it up and down that, ottherwise i can't really do much else.

  4. Looking for do's and don'ts basically, should I hold it at revs or let it idle, got it in my mind that I'm meant to hold it around 2000rpm. So just let me know what works and what not to do.

Dropped the engine and box in today and found out that the g/box crossmember wont bolt up, if i can't suss it i'm going to have to mod an escort one to suit, anyone help me out here and what are the legalities of this? And do i have to change where my fuel line runs if its on the same side as the exhaust exit?

  7. So mk2 brakes don't fit mk1 shocks? even van shocks as they're heavier duty? So i wouldn't be able to run mk1 van shocks with mk2 tophats/springs/brakes in a mk2?
