Are you using a Castlemain Rod Shop kit for the v6? or custom? I think their kit comes with a sump and mounts too...
In Aussie there is a twin supercharged v6 gemini, its so gangster.
I never knew about the castlemain rod shop, just looked up the link now . http://www.rodshop.com.au/mounts.htm I have just emailed them for some more info. cheers for that.
I've heard some bad stuff about CRS, but also a lot of good news too, looked into getting shit from them but didn't in the end so can't say for sure about their work.

nah I never had the supra box in. I had the sierra 5 speed, so my cable is the original ford capri item.
yeah I think I know about the drive gear. The manual ones are different, it is just a cable which is held in to a wee slot with a circlip.
I am currently bidding on a cable from a XC Falcon which I hope is for a C4. Then I am taking a gamble whether it may fit the back of my Capri speedo gauge..
hopefully early ford speedo gauges have the same fitting on the back
If the XC cable fits the box but not the speedo, take it into a cable specialist and get em to make one out of your two?

Check the oil first, makes a pretty big difference, i had the same sort of problem in my Esky, the clutch plate wasn't aligned properly but i can't say for sure what it was exactly as i just swapped g/box with a fresher one and changed the clutch.

IMO its a crock of shit, theres too much money to be lost to let it just run out, i also believe the oil company conspiracy theory, oil makes the world go round. Do you really think the oil companys are running out of oil so the prices have to be raised? And that they have no more after that? Its bullshit, there just corrupt fucks.

I think a twin with the bottom one split like the front wouldn't be to bad(would probably look shit but i can see it in my head looking alright) but yer i like the twins.

Hey. I went into a place here in Auckland in the Eden Terrace/Newton area who specialise in gauges especially Smiths and VDO. I'll do a drive by today and get their number if you're interested and give the guy a buzz. Looked to me the both sell and repair/make custom gauges.

Have an old Smiths guage off my bike, its pretty rough but it can be saved, remember someone on here saying something about getting them sorted out. How far can they go? As in Chrome, glass, cleaning up faces and clocks? And what sort of places should i be looking for to do this sort of work?

is a while off to be honest, not keen to mess you round, and im still not sure what im doing with it yet so might not even need shocks to suit an imp, was asking out of interest mainly... however, the offer is much appreciated
