chuck a screwdriver across the two contacts on the solenoid(make sure its not in gear, did that myself and scared the shit outa myself) if it turns over could be having same problem as mine, it wasnt earthing properly when trying to turn it over from the ignition but was sweet when using a screwdriver, putting a few bolts through it sorted that. make sure its earthed and try jumping it again. At the moment im thinking coil doesn't effect starter, but im fucked atm so i could be wrong.

How much you want for it? Repco can order them in but they're a few hundred last i checked.

^Oh noes, its the boso police

yuh, and the guys at "over eaters support group" are not much help.
"brad, i dropped the spanner and i cant reach to pick it up"
must be hard
lols, but yeh fuckin good effort.

On my scort if the solenoid wasnt bolted down it wouldnt earth properly and wouldnt crank over, is it inertia or pre engaged?
-
Yeah, I imagine you'd put them in with it off and start it to adjust. I can't imagine it would achieve much over just doing it with a warm engine though. We did them bone cold and drove it straight to wellington and it was mint.
If there the same a ford ones, wouldn't it mean you'd be holding the spanner on a nut goin up n down faster than a school boy? Can't remember the tappets on my mates ol shuvit

fuck,a chick that recognises cars as being from oldschool. That is some kind of awesome.
Those manuals explain stuff mean as. Cept the chevette one says to do it while the engine is running lols. I would do it because its funny but I'm sure oil would go everywhere.Although chevette pumps would likely run at about 2psi so it probably wouldn't.
Fuck i'd like to see someone try chuck a feeler guage in there while its running. lolz

Did you swap the coil out? You sure theres no resistance wire in there?

usually bolted to the side of the engine bay, can get a universal one from repco for $40
-
If its got a separate solenoid i.e. not attached to the starter, it's inertia, but there should only be on contact on the back of the starter which goes to the solenoid, then the negative battery cable goes to the other contact on the solenoid/i think. did mine a week ago but sold the car so can't check. 90% positive though.

Inertia or Pre-engaged?

What do you reckon? Is it worth offering like 200?
Probably not unless you can get some figures concerning the head, could be a crock for all you can tell.

Why not just paint the ones that have good tyres?
'Cause she's a woman.........

Cool. Damn I'm worried about that cam now.
I've got a standy cam if you're keen for swaps

Fluid passing the seals most probably, not sure if you have a Lamberts Brake & Clutch down there. Check the yellow pages for them, onto it as, cheap and good quality. Only one i know of though is in whangarei.

Sweet, will go with just over that to be safe. Thanx hun xoxo

Need weight of a Kent 1600, complete clutch to fan etc. Average weight will do fine.

Oh forgot. Lowered front end, tis a bit lower but no nearly low enough so have to sort that out now Also anyone know a cheap place to get get leafs reset?
Snells Springs in aux reset and lower leaf springs to your specs for $210 a pair and do custom coils for i think $200 a pair.

I feel your pain man. Disconnect the battery or remove fuse to clear the ecu memory. I've never had any luck trying it myself but its something to try, although again that sort of problem would surely give some fault codes
Faulty ECU? Try a spare maybe?

Iremember a monster garage episode where a welder tried it, but made the dent/warpage/paint worse. That was oxy torch + icey rag though. Hair dryer's probably a tad less extreme.
That was on the roof though so it would have way more flex in it than a dent in a door etc. Might work on a stiffer panel. meh somebody try it.
HELP! Valiant electrical problems..
