  1. Shot Jared on the timing light, owe ya big boy. Will def have to roll round when its all legal beagle.

Yea tom runs pretty sweet for an engine thats been sitting for a few years haha.

So is there a story for why is was parked up?

The guy I bought it off swapped it with a young guy. The young guy scored it off an old geeza (original owner i would say) and quickly proceeded to start fucking it. He tore out the original radio, removed the factory rims and hubcaps and fitted some gay mags, screwed some of the side trim on with massive PK screws, and pulled some of the dash apart. The guy I bought it off saw him on the side of the road one day with the bonnet up and apparently it wouldnt start. The fulla suggested he check the points to which the young guy replied "oh na cuz deez dont have points ay" pretty crack up. So he said to the young guy that he had a nice early 90s levin at home and would he be interested in swapping, the young guy was keen as so this guy saved it from get drifted into a curb most probably then going to the scrapies. I shook his hand and told him he was a good cunt.

  2. So got up early this morning and cracked into the car, luckily i did as its now pissing down. Managed to strip all four brakes and the rest of the linings look ok which is sweet. All 6 wheel cylinders where seized but all the fronts look like theyll get away with a hone, one of the rear should be sweet with a hone but the other will probably need sleeving. And all four drums need a skim to bring them right. Will drop it all into a brake place tomorrow and fingers crossed can get it back mid weekish! Had a bit of a look at the engine yesterday, got temp gauge working, cleaned up points etc. Starts first pop everytime and idles sweet, has a slight miss that ill investigate later on. Plan is to hopefully get brake shit done, slap back together and borrow spankdiddys wheels n should be able to take for a proper drive!! 8)

  3. yea had a look at some sites and seems apex do their own sleeving and says usually same day turn around. Waikato brake and clutch also say they do both but probably all shit. Should have a better idea what im guna need to get done by the end of tomorrow but i know both the right front shoes definitely need it and all four drums need a skim too

  4. So going to try get the crown mobile for xmas holiday cruising. It needs some brake shoes relined and possibly some brake slave cylinders resleeved. Does any hams boes know if any of this work is done in hams or is it all sent to places in auckland?? Have already stripped and cleaned brake and clutch master and seem all good guna get all four corners apart tomorrow and see what the rest of the damage is.

  5. So fell upon this by a stroke of luck and couldnt resist it. Tis the only one i know of and have ever seen before in nz. REGO IS ON HOLD which just made it that much sweeter. Plans are completely redo all brakes as they are stuffed, give it a thorough check over, wof it and roll for summer. Just took it for a wee doddle with pweston and has a crack up pull out cable lever on the dash like a choke, that makes it neutral when coasting, took a bit to figure out and is quite loltastic. Also has some big electric motor looking thing hanging off the sandwich plate on the box that I can only guess is an electronic overdrive, will investigate further.

  6. the setup that was in my old wagon (spencers MS63) was 3/8 valves with 1/2 inch lines. Previously it was in my coupe and was 3/8 lines n valves. I found 3/8 a bit slow to lift the front when approaching speed bumps especially if I wasnt at full pressure. I would definitely go for bigger lines if you can as it makes it alot less frustrating and you can put bleed taps in to control the speed ie. put a bleed tap on the outlet so you get fast lift in the front and slow drop.

  7. there is a place in auckland that rebuilds them and im pretty sure if you supplied details they could mash some shit together. I got my ms55 ones done there, i sent them through camelot but its another crowd that do it so if you can find out will be cheaper than with camelots charge on top. think ive got it written down somewhere will have a geeze
