  1. My brothers mate found someone to do them last night for a box of piss which is sweet. May need some more done soon though. Will let you know, Cheers.
  2. I wanting to get the weld machined out on some 2 piece wheels to put them back to 3 piece. Had one done at an engineering shop but they charged me heaps, messed me round and were generally difficult to deal with. Anyone on here have access to a lathe or know of someone that could do it for me?
  3. Sold my daily so that has freed up some cash to buy the necessary parts. Got to spend some time getting my ute going and certd so I have a vehicle again before I rip into thwe wagon. Having a hard time deciding wether to go AE86 bluetop or stealing my brothers spare small port 16v and buying the RWD parts or just spending the extra money and getting a blacktop.
  4. Brother has offered to give me his smallport redtop 4age from his AE92. But since im goin to need all the rear wheel drive bits I thought it might be cheaper to just buy a full RWD setup, engine, box and all. And just sell bits I dont need. Or even just run factory rear drive blue top and ditch T50. Thoughts???
  5. Yeh had looked into maybe 3CT or 2LT but both have head problems. 1kzte is an awesome engine too but pricey and wont bolt to my gearbox. 2LT would be cool but I think theyre fairly heavy and look to be quite a high/large engine so not sure if it'd even fit. 1UZFE was my other choice. Did a lot of research but decided it was goin to be too expensive and take too long, after all this is supposed to be my daily... 4age has been done so I know its possible and should be a fairly quick and straight forward swap if I play my cards right and source all the parts before I rip into it.
  6. Another concern I have is the diesel to petrol swap. Excuse the noob questions Does a diesel have a return line? Can I use the diesel tank if I clean it out? I'm guessing I'll need to run an external electric pump?
  7. My Project Thread Let me know what you think...
  8. Currently trying to sell on of my cars to pay for a 4age and bellhousing. Hoping the 4age on an A-series crossmember will bolt to the gearbox with the right bellhousing. Bit worried the box might be too far forward or back. Will just have to try it I guess....
  9. Bought this a few months ago with overheating problems and it became my daily. Overheating has got alot worse making it pretty much undriveable so it's time for a change of engine. Out with the 1C diesel and in with the 4age. Some specs: Engine - 1C 1800 diesel Gearbox - W56 (factory) Diff - ??? Suspension rear - reset leaves and 2inch blocks Suspension front - cut springs with AE92 shocks and NCRCA's Steering - steering box Wheels - 14x6 SSR MkII's & 14x8.5 or 9 SSR meshs but need guard mods Some pics: Thanks to the previous owner for the pics... Comments and responses HERE please...
  10. Ok so I had forgotten I even had a project thread. Thought I better update it. Heres a couple of pics of what it looked like shortly before it blew up 1 year ago... Need some wider wheels for the back coz these sit way out from the chassis. I've since bought a MX5 B6ZE engine for it. Gearbox bolted in sweet as. Just made up some mounts... Gearbox in Original mounts New mounts Side view My brothers sussing out the wiring. Dunno how he does it... Another engine pic
  11. Im interested in doing a 1uz conversion in my wagon Its actually a CE71 which is diesel so I figure the weight shouldnt be much different and its already W56 and hydraulic clutch. Im more interested in wether it will actually fit in the bay and what sort of issues I'm likely to have. Any help or info much appreciated...
  12. Thought I better put some pics up of the wheel test fit at the height it sits now... What do you guys think?
  13. Gave it a bit of a tidy up. Shampooed all the interior and polished the paint. Straightened the bent bumper and cleaned up the bumpers (they were covered in different coloured paint because the previous owner didnt realise how long they are... ) Also gave rims a polish which has brought them up quite nice. Car is now For Sale
  14. Car will be for sale soon so PM me if you are interested. Can be sold on standard rims or the deep dish ones depending on price...
  15. What about 1ggze auto? Just after a bit more power...
  16. Im thinking of replacing the 1geu with a 1gge. Is it a worthwhile and simple conversion? The 1geu is fairly thirsty, are the 1gge's better? Also would it all bolt in and plug in to my wiring or would I need to custom alot of stuff? I would stay auto as it's just a cruiser and I cant afford to go manual...
  17. Cheers for the tips guys. Don't know if I'll end up running those because I'll need a really little tyre to fit it in the gaurds which will make the car practically undriveable. Cant get over speed bumps as it is. Mite just refurbish the standard ones. Not sure yet aye...
  18. Any suggestions for shorter shocks? Trying to keep this as legal as possible. Not doing so well so far
  19. Lowered it yesterday on cut hiace coils in the rear and cut corolla springs in the front. Front aren't captive so I'm going to have to get some shorter shocks. Got to trim the rear bumpstops too but theyre huge so i should be able to cut them in half. Sits real nice all round. Pics up tonight. I spaced standar rear wheels and they actually look half decent...
  20. Apparently if you stick hilux fronts in the rear there quite a bit shorter???
  21. Yeh rear view mirror is sweet aye. Havnt heard the Japanese voice yet. Having electrical problems. Mainly with the overdrive and radio and a couple of things. Theres a constant clicking from a relay or something behind the dash Any ideas what this might be? Jst to the left of steering wheel... Oh and a quick update... I sussed some 155/55R14s from a local tyre shop real cheap. Theyre 2nd hand but in mint nick. Hopefully picking them up tonight... Was thinkn of getn new shocks this weekend. Will hilux and AE92 shocks work?
  22. If I had the money don't you think I would have some by now? These wheels will do the job nicely IMO. Didn't know about that until you mentioned it... Very nice indeed. Love all the JDM accessories, amazing for a car of this age... Still interested in what tyres to go with for a light stretch...
  23. You supply the 9s and i'll happily rock them
  24. Thanks for the comments. Hopefully be getting lowered this weekend all going well... Any ideas on what to do with the valves in rims? When I reverse them they'll end up on the inside and may rub on the calipers. Also still lookin for info on tyres I could run on these rims...
